The aim of Friends of Ashmount is to provide extra resources and opportunities for students, which would not normally be met from the standard school budget.
SJB Parent Teacher Association is made up of all parents, carers, grandparents or family members of the children in Sir John Barrow School. We aim to raise extra funding to make sure our kids get the best opportunities, support and are equipped to thrive at our fantastic school.

VetRun180 is an organisation that takes physically and mentally injured military veterans on challenging 4x4 vehicle expeditions to aid in their recovery. The idea of a former Royal Marine physically and mentally injured on operations who attended a driving expedition across the Sahara Desert came back from the Sahara different person after the challenge, and wanted to use the catalyst of 4x4 expeditions to help the growing number of injured veterans struggling after leaving the military. VetRun180 has already completed three expeditions since its concept a year ago. Northern Portugal, the Empty Quarter in Oman and Galicia in Northern Spain. A total of 39 veterans have been helped so far. VetRun180 will train each veteran in First Aid At Work and a LANTRA off road driving qualification to help with future employment and give confidence on the expedition they attend. 'If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you'. The ultimate goal for VetRun180 is to help injured veterans re engage themselves through adventure and change their lives around for the future.

Home-Start Ealing is a registered charity that has been supporting families for over 20 years. All of the families are experiencing some type of stress or difficulty that could include disability, bereavement, poverty, isolation and domestic violence. We recruit and train volunteers who will visit a family at home offering practical and emotional support with the aim of preventing family crisis and breakdown. We also arrange trips and parties giving families opportunities to experience new things and socialise with others.

Thank you for visiting the Virgin Giving page for Old Basing Scouts which is a registered Charity to support Scouting in Old Basing and surrounding villages. We run 2 x Beaver Scouts colonies, 2 x Cub Scout packs, 1x Scouts Troop providing weekly meetings for excess of 140 youngsters. Currently we are without anywhere for these youngsters to meet every week following our headquarters being flooded in 2007 and the building being condemned. Currently we have to find facilities on a weekly basis to meet, from church halls to school halls and this is obviously not ideal. We need your support to replace the original 50 year old condemned Scout HQ with a new purpose built facility for the Scouts and Guides to call their home. To bring this to reality we need to raise in excess of £250,000 so that we can start the demolition of the existing facility and replace it with a new facility to last at least the next 50 years. Your help with this would be very much appreciated and any donations that you are able to give through Virgin Giving will be very much appreciated. If you would like to know more about this project or can offer assistance or help to bring this to reality we would love to hear from you so please drop us an email at - [email protected]
Our Warm Welcome (OWW) St Helens offers friendship and practical support to new asylum seekers and refugees by helping them to integrate into our community - we call these people "Our "Friends". We have raised funds to set up a regular meeting place that welcomes "Our Friends" and facilitates links with professionals – such as the British Red Cross - who offer support. We also teach basic English skills and distribute clothing, household items and food as needs require.
