Amongst others some past projects have included buying books, food and painting Grace's Care Centre orphanage and treating the kids to pizza. Painting, tiling, providing vents, providing an ultra sound + probes, maternity bed, incinerator, providing water + septic tank, toilet and sink to Wema Hospital in Kawangare slum, Nairobi. Hosting a medical camp in Kisii which saw and treated over 5000 people within 6 days. 2013 sees more renovations to Wema Hospital and Grace's Care Centre orphanage and another medical camp in Kisii Thank you for your support.

Cleveland Alzheimers is a local charity based on the Teesdale site, Stockton-on-Tees since 1989. We provide services and support for individuals suffering from Alzheimers disease and other related dementias and their families in the Tees Valley area. The charity provides high quality specialist dementia care in two 38 bedded nursing homes in Thornaby, and an outreach day centre in the market town of Guisborough which covers the whole of the Redcar & Cleveland locality. In addition we provide free educational and recreational training courses for carers and are the lead agency for the Fusion Cafe, opened in February 2006 as a partnership venture between local agencies involved in dementia care. The cafe provides an accessible social outlet for people with dementia and their carer to attend together. The cafe is open on the last Friday of every month 2pm til 4pm.

  What is Daybreak? Daybreak is a specialist charity which offers stimulation and support for people living with dementia and memory loss as well as a day’s respite for carers. Daybreak Clubs are for anyone affected by dementia. They are places where people are welcome whether a person has just been diagnosed or have been affected for some time. Daybreak is about enabling people with a dementia to lead a more engaged and fulfilling life by bringing together professional help, within communities of support and respite care. We also welcome the involvement of family, friends and carers, in Daybreak’s activities  as they will be and are often deeply affected by dementia too. We know that those who love and look after someone with dementia can also feel anxious, vulnerable and isolated. Each year tens of thousands of people are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia and the figure is rising annually. The good news is that people are living longer but unfortunately  the older you get the more likely you are to suffer from a dementia. Latest statistics show that one in four people over 70 are diagnosed with dementia / Alzheimer’s Daybreaks through its clubs helps to improve the quality of life of people with a dementia  by providing a safe social environment,  it enables carers and their families to enjoy a day’s respite Daybreak clubs act as an antidote to the loneliness and despair of a dementia diagnosis. In a nutshell Daybreak helps visitors to their clubs (and their carers) have the best possible life with a dementia /memory loss diagnosis We need your help to make our vision a reality for Oxfordshire. aHUSUK is a charity and support group for patients with atypical Haemolitic Uraemic Syndrome (aHUS) their families and caregivers, run entirely by volunteers. aHUS is an ultra rare condition, largely genetic in origin, and is progressive, debilitating and incurable. It can be managed by use of a highly effective drug called eculizumab which is universally available from the NHS in England and selectively from the NHS in Wales and Scotland. The charity offers information, advice and advocacy to its members and campaigns for better access to eculizumab in UK and improved awareness of the disease among the public and clinicians.
