Maffra Primary School is located in the township of Maffra within the Macalister Irrigation District, renowned for its dairy industry. Although most of the students live in the town, population 4000, some are drawn from the farms and smaller settlements in the area.
Park Ridge Primary School is located in Rowville, in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs. It presently has an enrolment of 585 students. The school is situated on a very large site with a large oval and two adventure playgrounds, a sealed fitness track, a large synthetic double basketball area and numerous quiet retreats. The Ponds School is a newly established school for students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities. Many of our students have additional disabilities, including autism, physical or sensory disabilities and/or emotional disturbance. Currently the school is situated in the grounds of Riverstone High School with a soon to be purpose built school scheduled to be opened on The Ponds Boulevard at The Ponds in 2015. We opened in 2012 with 4 Kindergarten classes and have quickly grown from 8 classes in 2013 to 12 classes with students from Kindergarten to Year 4 in 2014. Our move to the new premises in 2015 will bring the school to 16 classes. Students at The Ponds School are exposed to the same syllabus and curriculum content as all students in NSW. Activities are modified to suit the varying individual needs of all students and teachers utilise many forms of adaptive technologies to ensure the very best educational outcomes. We strongly believe that the greatest educational benefits for our students come from strong community ties and supporting families throughout their child's educational journey. We will continue to raise funds to enhance the learning opportunities for all of our student population which has grown to 75 in 2014.
