Our 300-plus sessions per year benefit children of all abilities aged 7 to 15. Being a charity, Helping Hoops is not focused on competition, teams or producing the next basketball phenom, but rather uses basketball to instil values that will assist children in their lives outside of sport. Children attending Helping Hoops programs are predominantly refugees or asylum seekers, have an intellectual disability, or are living on inner-city, high-rise public housing estates. Helping Hoops specifically focuses on building self-esteem, aiding social cohesion, instilling discipline, developing goal setting and leadership skills, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

Our Education Programme currently focuses on over 500 children from the Stung Meanchey and Chbar Ampov districts of Phnom Penh, a number we expect to gradually increase to 700 by 2016. Our Football Programme delivers coaching, leagues & tournaments to over 3,500 disadvantaged boys and girls in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Battambang, Prey Veng and Sihanoukville.

Indoor Rock Climbing, Gymnastics, Junior & Senior Boxing, Sports Aerobics, Box Fit, Soccer & for the littlies, Kindygym! Our Competitive Gymnastics, Sports Aerobics & Boxing compete on a regular basis with great results! We rely on over 60 volunteers from all parts of the community. Our new, modern facility will be opening in the 2013 with a lot more space & activities for the whole family.

Their Beautiful Game is a not for profit organisation that supports schools, orphanages and football clubs across the developing world – giving them the equipment they need to set up, run and coach their own football programs and teams effectively. Both new and second hand boots, footballs, teams strips, training gear (and even goal posts!) are collected here in Australia. Donations are then shipped and distributed in places where they’re needed and will be put to good use. It is our belief that providing underprivileged children with access to sport provides a platform to alleviate the effects of poverty and helps to ensure that every child, regardless of sex, ethnicity or ability, enjoys and benefits from their right to play.

We collect used cricket equipment from around Australia and redistribute it to communities in Australia and across 18 countries that are in less privileged circumstances. We ship to many countries throughout the Pacific, to India, Sri Lanka, and even as far afield as Rwanda and the Maasai Cricket Warriors in Kenya. In the coming months we will be sending equipment to educational programs in Afghanistan. To date, we have proudly packed and shipped over 5 tons of cricket equipment throughout the world.
