In 1994 families and interested community members set about developing an agency that would offer the opportunity to have their family member with a disability living closer to home. In eighteen years, Peel Community Living has evolved into a respected, dynamic provider of disability supports operating the length and breadth of the Peel Region in Western Australia. Peel Community Living is a not for profit organisation funded by the Disability Services Commission. Other funds come from grants obtained from Lotterywest, PEACH (Personnel Employed At Alcoa Charity Help), May Day, Helping Hands and Alcoa. Independence and active citizenship are both prized and promoted across all programs. We aim to provide a rich and diverse range of opportunities for community participation and an improved quality of life for the people we support. A dedicated team of support workers support and promote the dignity of the people we support to enhance their quality of life so they can live an ordinary life in their community, enabling each person’s independence to the best of their ability. This is at times not an easy task. The Peel Community Living supervisory team led by the Program Manager, Accommodation Manager and Community Program Manager support staff on a daily basis. The Peel Community Living administration team led by the Administration and Finance Manager and Administration Supervisor ensures the smooth running of all things financial and administrative. Fundraising is an ongoing process for a not for profit organisation. In recent times we have raised funds to purchase items for our new homes in Wannanup, however, there is another side to fundraising at Peel Community Living. Staff and individuals put aside time to raise funds for other deserving causes, our Biggest Morning Tea has become legendary raising considerable sums for cancer research. Bandana and Loud Shirt days are also favourites with staff and individuals. Peel Community Living sees all of the individuals we support as part of the community assisting others in whatever way they can. There is always something to purchase which will in some way enhance the lives of individuals. If you would like to donate, we urge you to click on our Donate button. Every single donation, no matter how small or large, will be used to assist individuals achieve their dreams.

We are a Jewish communal organisation that works to ensure a safe and fair society for Australians of all faiths and cultures by combating anti-Semitism and Racism in all its forms. Jewish communities have deep historical experience of hate and prejudice. To counter anti-Semitism we need to challenge prejudice whenever it occurs, whether it is directed at Jews or at other minorities. Since 1979, the B'nai B'rith ADC has worked to prevent, understand and counter anti-Semitism and all forms of Racism. We build bridges with people outside our community and educate others to respect difference. We work to create a society resistant to hate, both for ourselves and for others. Anti-Semitism is our top priority but we also act on other areas of racism. We aim to educate both the Jewish and general community about the dangers of Racism. Victoria is our focus, but we are also appropriately engaged with Australian and international issues in consultation with other organisations.

Funds raised will be used to pay for shipping and clearance costs of sending bikes to Africa, ground transport in Australia and Africa, bike collections, containers and organisational administration.
OrphFund is a volunteer based organisation helping abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable children around the world, regardless of race or religion. We run grass root, self sustaining, community projects, that provide shelter, nutrition, health care, support, education and training, ensuring all children have a happy and bright future. Orphfund works within remote communities in some of the world's poorest countries. Our projects aim to reach out to vulnerable children who have been abandoned or orphaned and help provide them with shelter, education, care and support. We create sustainable, empowering community centres in areas of great need. A typical Orphfund project sees us develop a village within a village. We build traditional homes, primary schools, secondary schools, training centres, install water pumps, solar power and establish gardens and farms. Our projects are often located in remote villages where aid, support and facilities for vulnerable children are lacking. This ensures we are helping children in great need and providing opportunities to communities for the very first time. We run a thorough and detailed registration and interview process that involves the local community, together we work to make sure we help children in the most extreme need. Each program is given a 2 year target to reach a self-sustaining level. Investment in farming and local enterprise allows locals to find employment as well as have ownership towards the success and longevity of the project. We offer an intimate approach. We know the names of all the children we help, we know their needs and we regularly return to ensure improvements and standards are being met. Pre-project visits are an essential precursor before we begin a partnership with a community. At this point, we assess existing local facilities, run interviews and develop plans and friendships. We feel this allows us to work in a partnership of trust and equality.

This Life Cambodia is focused on educational development that directly benefits the lives of children, youth and their communities in Cambodia. We believe that every child has the right to free, high-quality education. Without an education or training, a child is immediately disadvantaged and far less likely to achieve their true potential. At This Life Cambodia we focus on working with communities to develop projects that provide or enhance educational opportunities and directly benefit the lives of children and their communities in Cambodia. Our programs provide an opportunity for communities to develop the essential infrastructure, skills and programs needed to make positive change in their lives and break free from poverty. Goals: To listen to individuals and communities define their own needs and solutions. To engage individuals and communities to organise for their own needs through sustainable, accountable, and socially just processes. To advocate alongside communities so citizens are empowered to challenge inequality. The Lower Secondary School Development Program (LSSDP) has been implemented as a means to creating sustainable solutions for education needs in economically disadvantaged and under-served communities. The LSSDP centres on empowerment and community ownership. The ultimate goal of school development is to work with the community and to build capacity for long-term, sustainable self-sufficiency and improved access to and quality of secondary education in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Cambodia does not have a juvenile justice system. Children aged 14-18 are tried in the adult criminal justice system and are subsequently detained and imprisoned in adult prisons. This Life Beyond Bars (TLBB) aims to bring together individuals, families, communities and existing sub-national structures to build awareness, knowledge and capacity for sustainable action on issues relating to the criminal justice system in Cambodia. TLBB strives to address the educational rights of children affected by the legal justice system in Siem Reap and Banteay Mancheay prisons, and to promote and defend these rights. TLBB achieves its goal through three program areas: Vocational Training, Family Capacity Building and Community Development. The Community Responses to Violence Against Women Team is working closely with the Chi Kraeng Commune on their identified priorities within the areas of Local Authority, the Lower Secondary School and Community Education. We are providing training and workshops to increase the knowledge and confidence of the Local Authority in responding to incidences of Domestic Violence; working with the Lower Secondary School providing technical advice and direction to teachers and School Support Committee and are working with the Child Club on a peer support and education program focussing on healthy relationships, gender equality and encouraging important conversations about the impacts of violence; in addition to creating opportunities for wider community involvement in events highlighting gender equity, healthy relationships, and non violence. The Community Research and Consultancy Program (CRCP) provides information and services on issues affecting the provision of public education and human rights in Cambodia to the communities, NGOs, government ministries, academics and the general public at large. Through the activities of CRCP, which compile the knowledge of This Life Cambodia, more people and organisations are better prepared, equipped and able to make informed decisions about educational development issues.
