For over 150 years Spurgeon’s College has been helping people learn and equip themselves for their life’s mission as disciples of Jesus. Our students are amazing people whose stories are inspirational. In preparing themselves for mission and ministry they knowingly take a sacrificial path. Many of them struggle to support their families and pay their fees. Many of them are not eligible for student loans. Some of them are simply unable to support themselves because of government regulations for student visas. We rely on the generous support of people like you because, unlike many higher education establishments, we do not receive any government funding. We are keen to keep our student fees as low as possible and we never want to turn anyone away from ministerial training because of lack of funds. Can you help us to continue to do this? Spurgeon's was founded by the great Victorian Baptist preacher, C H Spurgeon, to train pastors who were ‘… hindered in their efforts to do good by the slenderness of their knowledge … the absence of a guide, their need of books, and their scanty time …’ Ten years later, the first Principal, George Rogers, concluded that the College was ‘… adapted to the real wants of the age’. This remains our aim whether you want to prepare yourself for Christian ministry or purely to study the Bible and theology. Our courses include online learning (from single module to full degree), part-time and full time degree, masters and doctorate courses as well as counselling courses. You can also study with us if you are a school leaver or mature student wanting to study theology as an academic degree. We always have students from overseas studying with us. To send a gift to be used where the College needs it most, please use the donation buttons on this page. If you want to donate to one of our special appeals, use the links in the Find out more box to the left. During the donation process you will be asked if you will allow "charity marketing". If you would like to receive or continue to receive mailings (including The Record) from Spurgeon's College, please ALLOW charity marketing.

The African Adventures Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales (1153361) that exists to support projects in developing areas of Ghana and Kenya. Thanks to generous support from African Adventures, the African Adventures Foundation is able to commit 100% of any donations directly to the projects it supports in Africa - which is extremely uncommon among many charities that, understandably, must cover their overheads. All the projects that benefit from our funding and support are based in particularly disadvantaged communities across Africa.
Newly formed in 2014, Friends of Ipswich Town FC has been created with the objective of bringing the Club closer to the local community by providing facilities and offering sport related activities to local residents. By interacting with the local district, our vision is that we will enhance and promote inclusion, education, health, and sport, with the subsequent intention of improving the wellbeing of not only the Ipswich Town FC fanbase, but also the local community as a whole. We aim to build on the already active presence that the Club has in the community, by using the ‘Power of Football’ to influence the lives of people in the Ipswich and surrounding area. As a charitable company, Friends of Ipswich Town FC is governed by a select group of trustees, all of whom have an interest in the local community. We are targeting steady year on year growth, but with the principle aim of keeping the needs of the community at the heart of everything we do. Furthermore, we will endeavour to consistently make all our activities available to people of all ages, from all backgrounds and from all abilities. Our work will be divided into four areas to reflect our vision of providing educational, sporting, social and healthy lifestyle opportunities to the local community. These four areas are health, sports development, social inclusion and education. The plan outlines the key actions within each area that we believe will allow us to achieve our vision, as well as the human and financial resources that will be required.

Supporting the lives of trans+ adults across the UK is the core message of Not a Phase, a small charity that is working towards a brighter future for the trans+ community. Through awareness campaigning, developing company diversity strategies and supporting trans+ owned business and projects with financial and material investment, Not A Phase aims to bridge the gaps that the trans+ and gender nonconforming community too often fall between. The funds raised for Not a Phase not only go into these projects but also support the peer support groups being rolled out across the country later this year, aiming to give a regular safe space for trans+ adults to meet, learn and grow.
