Dorothy House Hospice Care supports 1,500 families affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions every year. It is the only charity providing free specialist nursing care at home for people with life-threatening illness in Bath,Wiltshire and Somerset. Most patients are looked after in their own homes, but short-term care, out-patient and day patient services are provided at the hospice in Winsley. All care is provided free of charge, but Dorothy House receives only about 30% of its funding from the NHS. This year, after NHS funding, more than £7,000 a day must be raised to continue to provide these services.

40tude curing colon cancer is a rapidly expanding group of people who have decided to take action against the second biggest cancer killer in the Western world. Since it was founded in 2011, 40tude has raised over £700,000 for St. Mark’s Hospital Foundation, supporting the development of pioneering techniques to treat colon cancer. So far 40tude has successfully sponsored the FLEX project - a new surgical technique to remove colon cancer. We are now supporting the Artificial Bowel Project, a programme to engineer new bowel tissue from patient's own stem cells and have begun funding the PERFECTS programme: to improve and monitor the quality of CT colonographies across the NHS.
