We are a great source of local and general information regarding Down’s Syndrome and we hope to raise awareness and understanding in the local community. We hold monthly meetings on the first Saturday of the month at Whitewell Bottom Community Centre and we have a full range of outdoor and indoor activities for the kids (and adults!). Yakety Yak is our weekly speech and language service for children with Down's Syndrome. DSE international's research shows that learning to talk is a particular challenge for children with Down syndrome - more so than many other areas of development. Difficulties communicating present obstacles in daily life and can be a major source of frustration. ELDSSG through Yakety Yak are hoping to help develop these skills as far as possible
