Ruxley Church is currently fund raising for its Memorial Project. It is a part of our vision that members of the church and local community should be able to remember the loved ones they have lost.To this end the church is providing a Memorial Book to be kept in the Chapel, recording the names of those who have left us and messages of comfort. An on-line Memorial Book will also be made available. Outside the Chapel the church intends erecting a Memorial Stone which will be used for times of communal remembrance and as a focus when local or national grief needs to find expression. Finally, our most ambitious objective is to build a Memorial space where the names of loved ones will be recorded on mounted plaques, surrounded by the beauty of an English garden. Each of these is for the church and for the community and we ask for your kind support in making these a reality. Our members have already donated sufficient for us to press on with the first two objectives; the garden will require more. Please prayerfully consider if you can help. All donations made through MyDonate will be towards the Memorial Project until the work of the Project is complete. Ruxley Church has been a Church of England and Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) since 2002 . We are one Christian family as we worship, learn and have fun together. We continue to grow in faith as we rely on God's provisions day by day.We want to share the good news of God in Jesus Christ in both words and actions, and help others discover that God's love and forgiveness are freely available to all.We are excited as we continue to worship in our new church building and explore the opportunities it is bringing us within our local community. We know that as we rely on God's Holy Spirit he will equip us daily to serve him more and more.Ruxley Church is dynamic in engaging with its local community and extends a warm welcome at Monday and Thursday cafe and Mother and Toddlers session. There are a host of other activities available such as dancing, badminton, men’s and ladies groups. We are also privileged to be able to support the West Ewell Food Bank. St Joseph’s RC Primary School Association is made up of all parents at St Joseph’s School with a committee appointed to organise social and fundraising events throughout the year. Our main focus is to help the school community by organising social events for parents and children to get together. We also aim to raise money to purchase extra equipment for the school and to enable extra activities for the children over and above those that would normally be available. We raise our funds through annual events such as walk-a-thons, themed evenings, discos and dancing nights, auction nights and a summer fair together with childrens parties. The funds raised are mainly drawn on to provide a two-teacher system, which assists in the school achieving high standards. We are constantly carrying out maintenance and improvement to the premises and currently raising money for refurbishment of the school facilities and general common parts - something that will benefit current St Joseph’s pupils and future pupils for many years to come.
