Kampala Children’s Centre is located in the stable region of Wakiso, just outside Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Founded in 2005 by NDE Network, the foundation of the Centre is to ‘give the best to the least’ – restoring the lives of abandoned and forgotten children. Desperate poverty claims the lives of thousands living in city slums. Across Uganda, children are caught in the struggle for survival. Orphaned by war and disease, suffering malnutrition, and left vulnerable to child labour and violent abuse...these are the children we are reaching out to help. Our vision is to give a safe and loving home, education and a happy childhood; providing hope to the helpless and a new start for the most vulnerable of children. We care for children of all ages, from newborn to 18 years. Around 12 children of various ages live in a family home with their house-mother. We provide them with excellent training and education, access to necessary health care and recreational activities. We want the children to grow into healthy balanced adults, with the skills to support themselves and to become active and influential members of society when they leave the Centre. Through our Communities of Hope sponsorship scheme we are also enabling children from the surrounding villages to attend school and engage in both recreational and training courses run by KCC. The children now living at KCC have a different story to tell; their eyes reveal one of new beginnings, of hope, joy and life. Through your giving you can be part of the Kampala Children’s Centre transformation story… giving children the gift of a happy childhood.

Eclectic Voices (EV) is an ambitious and versatile choir that sings in an unusually wide range of styles: classical, contemporary, ethnic, folk and world music, gospel and jazz. It has performed in a variety of settings, including many world premières. The choir devotes time and effort to Outreach projects, where it provides music and music education to people who might not otherwise hear live music. As part of Outreach, the choir intends to stage performances of major works, free to all. The choir subsidises some places in our youth choir, Highbury Youth Choir, to ensure that children's musical education and experiences are open to all, regardless of family income.
HYPS is a small dog rescue, with just one full time volunteer and a tiny handful of part time volunteers. All work tirelessly to save and care for stray and abandoned dogs from across Yorkshire and beyond. Despite our small size we do extensive work! In 2017 we saved and rehomed over 200 dogs!
