Healey Islamic Trust is a registered charity setup to establish Masjid and Madrasah facilities in the Healey area of Batley.Healey is an area with a large, young, growing Muslim community. There are approximately 400 Muslim households in the area and there is an urgent need for Masjid/Madrasah facilities.In October 2016, Healey Islamic Trust purchased Healey Mills on Healey Lane. Following a tender process, work started on site in November 2017 to convert two units into Masjid & Madrasah facilities. This is still ongoing and expected to be completed later in 2018 In Sha Allah.A significant proportion of the funds raised has been through Qarz-e-Hasana (Loans) which needs to be repaid over the coming years.
