Burntisland Playgroup has been opened since 1976,with 24 children aged from three to four attend five sessions a week. The group is in partnership with Fife Council Education following the Curriculum for Excellence. Burntisland Playgroup is a registered charity based in our local community centre. We provide high quality care and education for pre school children in Burntisland and the surrounding areas. Although we are in partnership with the local council and receive some funding for eligible children, this barely covers wages and rent, so we rely heavily on fundraising and donations to provide us with any day to day resources and activities required. We have a management committee elected from the parents/carers of the children that attend our group, who tirelessly try to raise enough funds to provide their children with quality resources and activities throughout their time at playgroup. Burntisland Playgroup could not survive without the generosity of the many individuals who support our fundraising events and the companies who donate money for specific items/activities. We are always grateful for any donations to make our work possible.

(UK, 1156530) Browse eventsThink Amy is a registered charity which promotes safe driving. We do this through education, partnership working and raising public awareness about the consequences of dangerous driving. We have a particular focus on educating new and young drivers, statistically most likely to cause death or serious injury on the roads. The charity was set up by Jane Hofmeister after her 13 year old daughter Amy was killed on 15 June 2011 whilst cycling on a cycle path in broad daylight in Taunton, Somerset. The driver of the car that killed Amy had been racing another at motorway speeds along a residential road. He overtook the car he was racing, lost control on a bend and struck the kerb, flipping the car into the air which hit Amy, killing her instantly. We want to remind the driver that their driving style is a choice they make themselves - the driver alone has the power and the choice to drive safely - we want to influence that choice. We want to encourage all drivers to drive safely and reduce the number of avoidable, unnecessary deaths and serious injury on the roads.

(UK, Relationship Dilemma) Browse eventsWe believe in equipping people for God-centred dating & relationships. The Bible teaches that God cares about every aspect of our lives and wants us to thrive and grow. We believe that the Bible contains inspiring, important and helpful principles for forming healthy relationships, including romantic ones. We want to offer practical, honest and relevant advice and support as we all strive to better our relationships and relationship choices. ‘I would just like to say how truly amazing Relationship Dilemma is… you have inspired me that no matter what, God can restore broken hearts and give us a healthy perspective on dating someone in an honourable way. Your work changed my perspective on dating and marriage, rather than being utterly afraid of the future after all the hardships of crazy relationships in my life, I trust God completely. Thank you so much!’ - Quote from someone we have helped. The Relationship Dilemma Project is part of the Naked Truth initiative, and we all sit under the overarching umbrella charity called Visible. Visible’s aim is to educate and free people from the damaging impact of negative relational influences, like pornography, lack of healthy good role models and lack of stable relationships. We enable people to break the cycle of negative and damaging relationships and equip them to build healthy, enjoyable and God-centred relationships. A single donation or setting up regular giving will allow you to really invest in people’s lives and fundamentally change their relationship dynamics. You could supply them with life long skills. You could help them on their journey: A £10 donation could go towards covering the cost of printing and distributing materials that can help dozens of people re-evaluate their approach to relationships. A £20 donation could allow us to give away three of our books to people, which would help them to learn skills that are vital for building healthy dating attitudes. A £50 donation could allow us to invest in developing our website and online presence to reach and support hundreds more people per month with healthy dating principles. A £10 monthly donation for a year could subsidise the cost of a bespoke talk for a group who can’t afford it, transforming 40+ people’s attitude and approach to dating. A £20 monthly donation could allow us to keep posting free resources on the website, which will help hundreds of people per month learn about and implement healthier dating decisions. A £50 monthly donation for a year could subsidise the cost of nearly two full courses for groups who can’t afford it, transforming 100+ people’s attitude and approach to dating.
