Since we were formed in 1997 hundreds of people have made contact with us and many find that talking to others with Aspergers Syndrome (AS) and their families, sharing experiences and feelings, helps them cope. SAFE offers a valuable opportunity to exchange information on practical topics such as how to claim benefits, how to obtain statements of special educational need, how to access support, how to get into the job market, how to get help developing social skills and planning for the future. We work with employment, education, health, mental health and social care departments to improve and develop services for people with Aspergers syndrome and their families.

Healey Islamic Trust is a registered charity setup to establish Masjid and Madrasah facilities in the Healey area of Batley.Healey is an area with a large, young, growing Muslim community. There are approximately 400 Muslim households in the area and there is an urgent need for Masjid/Madrasah facilities.In October 2016, Healey Islamic Trust purchased Healey Mills on Healey Lane. Following a tender process, work started on site in November 2017 to convert two units into Masjid & Madrasah facilities. This is still ongoing and expected to be completed later in 2018 In Sha Allah.A significant proportion of the funds raised has been through Qarz-e-Hasana (Loans) which needs to be repaid over the coming years. Currently the debt stands at £390,000. To help us repay this, we urgently need your support in the form of Lillah and/or long term Qarz-e-Hasanah.Please donate Lillah to support our project. If you wish to loan us Qarz-e-Hasanah, please contact us on 01924 763036 or via our website and we will arrange. For Muslims, the building of a Masjid or contributing towards it is one of the most virtuous forms of Sadaqah-e-Jaariyah (continuous charity) that Allah has bestowed upon us.
