We exist to grow personally meaningful philanthropy around the world. We do that by using the latest experimental science to grow the human capacity to love. Our research shows that if we can succeed in doing that, doubling, tripling and even quadrupling the resources available to charities becomes the natural consequence. We believe giving should be transformative for both the donor and the great causes to which they give. Our research shows that when articulating the love for others is at the core, philanthropy feels good. When genuine meaning is properly crafted, people give more, massively more. And people feel better, massively better.

Chancepixies believe that the way forward to stop the pain and suffering for dogs and all animals is to unite the general public, rescues, breeders and owners and to promote responsible breeding and ownership through ‘fit for breeding tests in the UK. We have a love and a passion for dogs and we will work alongside other organisations, enthusiasts, breeders, professionals and the general public, to educate owners, reduce rescue, reduce irresponsible breeders, put an end to puppy farming and reduce the number of dogs that are being needlessly destroyed in the UK! We are politically active towards this end and also rescue, rehabiliate and rehome dogs. We have a non-destruct policy and since September 2004 have found forever homes over 1,000 dogs and reunited almost 800.

We are a Registered Scottish Charity (No. SC047002) established to respond to the destruction of Orkney’s coastal heritage by the sea. Global warming, the effects of climate change and melting polar ice which are promoting higher sea levels and changing weather systems with increased storminess are exacerbating the problem. Orkney has over 980 km of coastline and many of Orkney's archaeological sites are subject to ongoing coastal erosion. The coastline of Westness in the island of Rousay has a particular series of vulnerable sites. The Knowe of Swandro, Westness forms our current focus due to its immediate vulnerability to coastal erosion: the site is low lying and is being actively eroded by the sea. This results in a series of wave cut terraces in the archaeological stratigraphic sequence, covered by re-deposited beach cobbles and sand. The Trust was established to provide Swandro and its environs (defined as wider coastal archaeological heritage of the Orkney archipelago) with the attention, focused effort, care, academic and public accessibility which it merits. We will support the management and development of the archaeological resource of Swandro and its environs and serve the interests of the general public, particularly the local community, and academia by excavation, research, providing open access to the site, publications, web resources, lectures, conferences, exhibitions, educational output and involvement, and whatever else will secure interest in the site.

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Stroud Valley Scout Group is raising funds to build a new Scouting and Community Centre. The current scouting centre is situated in the centre of Stroud. It benefits from being on a large plot of land with ample outdoor green space and wooded areas. We want to improve that environment by creating a new scouting and community centre which will benefit not only the current users but open the centre up to a wider range of users. The current centre does not have disabled access and facilities. It has inadequate heating and insulation therefore suffers from damp and cold conditions in the winter. The buildings are unattractive, and the kitchen and toilet facilities are no longer fit for purpose. By improving these facilities with a new purpose built, modern and environmentally efficient building we can not only attract other groups to use the centre but we can also make more of the outside space and attract groups for overnight camping, weekend workshops and other community events. We need your support to help raise funds for this project. Charity No: 800449 Find out more Facebook https://www.facebook.com/StroudValleyScouts/
