The Lucy Monro Memorial Trust was established for the public benefit in the advancement of education, human health (including the prevention or relief of sickness, disease, or human suffering) and animal welfare, through the provision of funding and direct aid, for immediate and tangible use.Lucy Monro was born and grew up in the UK, moving to the UAE – via a brief stint in Bahrain – in 1995. Her job as a magazine editor and publisher centered on equestrian writing and photography, but these skills also brought her into contact with people and animals in need of help and her life was marked by some amazing humanitarian and charitable efforts, based around animal welfare, education and humanitarian aid. Taking these three themes, LMMT will raise funds and then assist small, grass-roots causes and charities in each of these three areas, to achieve their aims, by making financial grants. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. We pray you are having a fruitful and prosperous Ramadhan. You will be well aware of giving lillah and sadaqah in this holy month. We urgently require an abundance of your duas and to financial assistance to clear a loan of £92,000.By the grace and mercy of the All-Mighty Allah, Al Abrar Academy (Charity No:1167207) first opened its doors on the 13th October 2013. Al Abrar Academy was established through the blessings and duas of our pious predecessors. A gap had been identified amongst the local community relating to the lack of Islamic knowledge and guidance, which was leading people towards the disobedience of the All-Mighty. A centre that would cater for the religious needs of the community was much needed. The Academy has therefore been set up to serve and address this need. It is a much needed interface with the wider community to help people improve their understanding of Islam and shariah. The academy provides classes, children’s evening madrasah, activities, and daily tarbiya programs. Masha Allah the academy is oversubscribed therefore we are struggling to accommodate those on the waiting list.On Friday and Eid prayers the toilets and wudhu area is proving to be too small. We have come a long way from what was only a vision , changing the lives of many. This is an opportunity for us to reap the rewards of all the good work that is taking place at the academy. Please donate generously to this noble cause so we can return the money that has been borrowed and remember that one’s wealth does not decrease when spending in the path of Allah and that his reward is with Allah in the hereafter. Al Abrar Academy is running under the tutelage of Sheikh Asif Ibrahim Sahib DB.We therefore request any donations you can offer for this most noble of causes. JazzakAllahu Khayrun Charity No: 1167207

Developing Artists is a registered charity working to support the arts in post-conflict nations and deprived communities. Our projects connect people and institutions in some of the world's most disadvantaged areas with an international network of arts organisations and practitioners. Developing Artists strengthens underprivileged and marginalised communities by providing constructive outlets for their creative life, and transformative long-term opportunities for self-expression and professional development. Developing Artists creates and supports collaborative productions, and through these productions identifies talented individuals who would benefit from participation in the charity's Apprenticeship Programme. Many of our productions go on to tour around the world, providing participants with a global platform and raising awareness of the key advocacy issues each of their projects address at an international level. Over the past ten years Developing Artists has delivered over 25 projects in eight countries, and brought together artists and performing arts organisations throughout the world. The charity fosters a self-sustaining approach to the arts through which individuals acquire the skills to earn an income from their work, and initiate their own projects over the long term. They are empowered to share what they have learned with their local communities, thereby acting as catalysts for wider social change.

West London Family Church has operated from the same site for close to 100 years with a focus on supporting children, young people and disadvantaged groups in our local community. We are a UK registered charity (limited company). We come from over 15 nations, and share our buildings with South East Asian and South American congregations. We work in multi year partnerships with both secular and faith based community organisations. We are respectful of the diversity in the communities we serve. For 10 years we have utilised an international method of storytelling and community building based on the Godly Play® tradition and now have a number of trained storytellers. Our storytelling practice is from the Montessori tradition allowing room for self-expression and exploration, both verbally and in the creative response times. We work within a set framework to provide safe places for children, youth and adults to explore their stories within the context of community stories shared from a Christian worldview. Although many of these stories are shared by the great faiths they also have meaning and provide room for those of no or little faith. We are hoping to raise enough funds to enable a team to offer 7 days of storytelling to promote community cohesion abroad with groups including refugee children. We hope to inspire the countries we visit develop their own Godly Play® communities. Please join us for a story telling marathon on the weekend of the 23/24th June 2017.
