In concert and in contest The Co-operative Funeralcare Band has been making music for over ninety years. Over that time, it has proved to be the most successful band in the history of Scottish brass band music. The band has won the Scottish Championships 32 times and, during the 1990's, twice carried back to Scotland the National Championship of Great Britain - the only Scottish band ever to win this prestigious championship. The key aims of the band as a charity are to: (1) Promote public appreciation and understanding of brass band music and to stimulate interest in the art of brass band playing for the benefit of the public generally and especially members of the Co-operative Movement. (2) Promote the education and training of people of all ages, in the playing of brass instruments and their appreciation of brass band music.

We want to ensure no retired police dog is ever euthanised due to lack of financial means by their new owners. WAGs was set up to help these beneficiaries (the handlers and members of the pubic who take on looking after the retired police dogs) with the cost of life saving veterinary treatment to ensure the retired police dogs can be given the veterinary treatment they require to allow them to lead a happy healthy retirement after they have served the public for years as police dogs. Your donations are extremely important to us and we are very grateful for your generosity.
