Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Eggshell Cambodia seeks to provide protection and bring hope to children living in squalor and at risk in one of the most wonderful and traumatic cities of the world.  Cambodia experienced a terrible genocide and civil war and although the country is now fairly stable, there is residue of these terrible days.  A beautiful country with beautiful people – living under daily threat of exploitation, violence, trafficking and extreme poverty.   Some of the poorest families live in cardboard homes, built in the cesspits under other homes — the conditions are indescribable.  UNICEF and ECPAT relate statistics of 36.1% of Cambodia children working in child labour and 31.4% of children receiving inadequate care.   One of the greatest areas of concern is the trafficking and exploitation of children for sex work.  Please donate to support our cause.We focus on children and youth, running kid’s clubs and outreach activities (with in-country organisations and churches).Our primary goal is to provide a safe haven for children by giving them a secure environment in their local area for the time when their parents are working and unable to care for them.   To this end we are currently fund raising to open a day-care centre in one of the poorest and most deprived areas of Phnom Penh; to provide secure, sheltered facilities where children can have fun, develop and be safe from the threats and risks posed by them being left unattended for large parts of the day.   We will enhance this with the provision of basic hygiene, a balanced meal, early-learning education and safe playtime in a Gospel based environment.Eggshell Cambodian has been incorporated as a charitable company and is registered with the Northern Ireland  Charities Commission as charity number NIC106896  Charity No: NIC106896 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website Facebook Please click here to visit our Facebook page

ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts ) is recognised in the acting industry for producing highly professional actors who are passionate about their craft, and although we teach all aspects of live and recorded performance we are known for offering an exemplary training in screen acting. ALRA is an established member of the Conference of Drama Schools and it is our policy to nurture the students' strengths and individual qualities. The main source of funding for ALRA students is the Dance and Drama Award. These grants dramatically reduce tuition fees but are only available to 60% of the students. Those not in receipt of a DaDa are expected to find their tuition fees and living expenses independently, which can often make the course unaffordable. Another financial difficulty is that none of our students is eligible for student loans. As a result, most work at weekends and during holidays in an attempt to supplement their income. As it is extremely difficult to meet the costs of living in London they inevitably resort to taking out substantial bank loans. Sound Architect Creative Media (www.soundarchitect.org.uk) is a Charity based in Sussex that provides educational and recreational opportunities for all through music technology, film making, digital photography and all other aspects of digital creative media. We have worked extensively with people of all ages including those with disabilities, behavioural problems and issues of exclusion, to raise awareness of difficult subjects, to make history come to life and to ensure that valuable research and memories are recorded for posterity. Some of our programmes have focussed on older people, particularly in oral history and ICT training, but many have been intergenerational. We also provide day opportunities for older people under the banner of ENGAge (our sister organisation - www.engagesoutheast.org.uk), through our TN22 Clubs in Hadlow Down and at venues throughout East Sussex and Kent. In 2014 we delivered the Swift Project (www.swiftproject.org) which supported self-employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for women by enhancing their digital skills and enabling them to take advantage of faster and more reliable broadband, particularly in rural areas. Over 40 women signed up to access the part-time training and support funded by the Government Equalities Office and run in partnership by ESCC, Sound Architect and MDHUB - a peer to peer business growth network for Managing Directors.
