The Swiss Church is a Christian congregation, in the protestant tradition, that offers people opportunities to meet and worship together, support each other and discuss important life questions. Its distinguished 19th century building in London's Covent Garden is in need of renovation. When complete it will continue to be a place of worship and will also contain a centre for cultural activities. All the money raised by London Marathon runners will directly go to the renovation funds.

Provide an overview of the project (ongoing or new, start date, how it will operate) Warrington Ethnic Community Association intend to continue with an ongoing event in Warrington to showcase the work it supports within the community. The Charity runs a one day event called the Mela, The word MELA come from Sanskrit "to meet" and is related to "milana". The MELA will be a tool to develop support networks, break taboos and stigmas and build trust between residents and services. Mela’s are traditionally an Asian celebration but WECA (Warrington Ethnic Communities Association) break away from this format and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of Warrington. It is also an opportunity for various ethnic communities to come together and share common values within the wider Warrington Community. Our communities bring food, entertainment that is traditionally cultural to them. What are the project’s aims and how will they be achieved? The Project is the Mela a cultural festival that raises awareness of the diverse cultures in Warrington. The event will have stalls and entertainment. We invite the police and services to have stalls on the day to enable people to sign up to services and find out more about where to report hate crime, get information on adult social care, and health care services. The stalls and services will be promoted in the intervals of the entertainment.

As a trust fund we grant aid projects which promote and protect access to water in Scotland for the sport of canoeing / kayaking. Our income comes from donations and the royalties from the Scottish White Water and Scottish Canoe Touring guidebooks. We also had initial funding from the first Wet West Paddle Fests run on the Garry and Moriston in memory of Andy. We have funded a range of access projects: footpaths, access steps, stiles, canoe parks on rivers across Central Scotland and the Highlands as well as funding a response to the Land Reform consultation. Herefordshire Expedition Group provides groups of young people from Herefordshire with a oppotunity to undergo a life changing journey in a challenging enviroment. The young people, with expert guidance and instruction, will find undiscovered skills and qualities. Over the training period they will learn to work together and develop, both as individuals and as a team. The 2014 group will be travelling to Nepal with the aim of providing them with an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding experience. When in Nepal the young people will undertake activities that will contribute to group life, to local communities’ wellbeing as well as developing a keen sense of community and environmental issues affecting the region. The young people will also experience trekking in a remote environment, aiding their development further. Experiencing the cultural differences of Nepal will help them to understand cultures and peoples different from our own. As part of the experience each young person and leader has to raise all the money needed to tavel through fund raising.

In June 1983 Rosemount was opened as a charity. With the help of many Christian friends Rosemount began to flourish. Today the same pride and attention to care is provided by the staff and we are raising money to contribute towards the upkeep and refurbishment, ensuring this great cause runs on for years to come.
