TPS Development Fund (UK, 801137) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The TPS Development Fund charity supports the advancement of the education of all students at The Petersfield School by helping to enhance facilities and provide equipment, resources and opportunities not normally provided by the Education Authority. The Development Fund is the School's main way of fundraising directly from parents. The Fund helps to enhance facilities and outdoor spaces at TPS as well as providing the best equipment, resources and opportunities to benefit all students. In recent years, we've invested in outdoor seating and canopies, the sculpture garden, library refurbishment, lockers, classroom IT kit, gardening equipment, the Radio Station, and helped with resources for many of TPS's thriving clubs and extra-curricular activities. Our most crucial donation was £30,000 towards the Studio@TPS when TPS secured its performing arts status. Thank you for supporting the TPS Development Fund.  Charity No: 801137 Find out more Website http://www.petersfieldschool.com/94/appeal-trust Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/146886415@N03/albums/72157677417380325

YTD Raised: £0.00

Our mission is to create a community-led scholarship programme to help high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds attend university.Crowd is committed to fulfilling its mission by encouraging applicants and donors through innovative means and by improving upon existing crowdfunding processes in three key ways:(1) Qualified candidates: All Crowd Scholar students progress through a competitive and holistic application process; you can be sure that your donations are going to those who need and deserve it the most.(2) Depth over breadth: £10,000 towards one student’s education makes a bigger difference than £100 to one hundred students’ educations. By channelling the power of the crowd and donating from a centralised pool of funds, you can be sure that your donations are making a real difference.(3) Full transparency: Everything we see, you see. Read our candidates' applications, track our public record of donations, and more. For our 2017/2018 campaign we are (working on) funding the futures of three exceptional students:(1) Charles Hampton-Evans has created multiplayer games, built his own remote admin tools, and has an infectious love for all things computers - despite not having internet or a computer at home until he was 13. He is grounded, bright, and kind. (2) Alaa Lafta was born to Iraqi immigrants and raised in London, she excels academically and uses poetry to explore and express her identity and the multiculturalism she lives every day. She is precocious, big-hearted, and introspective.(3) Jason Chau achieves exceptional grades, tutors, and writes his own economics blog - all while being a carer to his two parents and younger sister. He is ambitious, mature, and determined.  Charity No: 1174788 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website Facebook Please click here to visit our Facebook page Twitter Please click here to visit our Twitter page

Clyst Caring Friends is a charity that exists for the relief of those who are sick, convalescent, disabled, infirm or elderly residing in a rural area to the east of Exeter. The charity began as a 'friends of Pinhoe surgery' running a car service to the surgery for those with mobility problems, but has over recent years developed and expanded. Our current operation includes running a purpose built day centre in the village of Broadclyst five days a week. Here we provide three days of day care, one of which is for the elderly mentally infirm. We also have a specialist bathing unit. A Memory Cafe also meets at the centre and its staff and volunteers are trained in dementia awareness. There is a monthly lunch club for those who are housebound and all our services are supported by a volunteer car service. We are continually fund raising to support all of our services and we are looking to run a charity shop to boost the fund raising. Charity No: 1050675
