(UK, 1149508) Browse eventsReal Africa is a leading safari specialist offering tailor-made and experiential travel to sub-Saharan Africa. Established in 2000, we are fully ATOL bonded (No 6115) and offer a personalised service and expert advice. Conservation is crucially at the heart of all we do. In 2012 we set up The Real Africa Trust (UK registered charity 1149508), enabling us to formally give something back and to help conserve the wildlife and communities we are so passionate about. On behalf of every client travelling with us, we make a donation into the Trust on their behalf. We also invite our clients to engage in conservation at a deeper level, with many opting to visit conservation or community projects during their safari. We work with wildlife conservation partners, experts in their field, so that the money we raise can have the biggest impact. We fund-raise via our staff, friends and clients as well as arranging special events here in the UK and by selling a range of merchandise in aid of specific projects via The Real World Store. As well as raising money we work to raise awareness about key conservation issues by attending consumer shows throughout the country. To find out more please visit realafrica.co.uk

(UK, 1104244) Browse eventsThe Odyssey Cancer Care Centre provides a homely relaxing environment for people with a diagnosis of cancer, their carer and health professionals. We are a complementary care centre, where we use a holistic approach to a cancer diagnosis. Where appropriate we will work alongside your medical doctor, oncologist and nurses to provide this support. People can “drop-in” anytime and talk to a friendly staff member who will provide you with appropriate information over a cup of coffee, or discuss any of the complementary therapies that we offer, or merely to experience our wonderful views over The Humber Bridge and walled gardens. Just sitting in the relaxing environment is a natural healing experience, watching and listening to the birds and nature. We have over the past twelve years recognised that each person responds differently to his or her diagnosis, and therefore we develop a programme to suit your individual needs, this is our strength, helping you to find balance in what can be a very stressful situation. The way in which The Odyssey Centre has been funded for the past twelve years is mainly through Reeds Hotel, without whose support we would not be able to exist. We have never been funded through any government organisations or grants, but rely totally on Reeds Hotel support and through donations for our services, and people and organisations within the local communities. We cover a radius of 60 miles, and our services are appreciated and used by people crossing the Humber. The Odyssey Appeal http://youtu.be/CKkX3lnsI7w
