The Yorkshire Wolds Railway Restoration Project was formed in October 2008, exactly 50 years after closure of the Malton to Driffield line. We are working towards restoring at least part of the railway as a heritage attraction, working with all interested parties to enhance tourism in the area. This will be the only Heritage Railway in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We know the real benefits that similar projects (both small and large) bring to areas in other parts of the country and hope our region will be able to see these benefits too. With planning permission in place and having already secured a first round of funding, we are now starting work on-site and need your help to continue fund raising. With your help we can realise our aims and give East Yorkshire a much needed tourist attraction.
We raise funds for Hampshire and the Islands churches of all denominations to help pay for repairs and improvements to the fabric of their buildings, their contents, and their churchyards. Our main source of income is the sponsored Ride and Stride event on the 2nd Saturday of September each year.

Through building strong sustainable communities which care for their weakest and defend their most vulnerable, Esuubi's vision is to see a Uganda where every child knows the love of a mother, the support of a family and the hope of a future... We believe every child has the right to be loved...Love is a force which inspires, empowers, liberates, creates and sustains. Above all, we provide for the orphans of Uganda a love which enables them to love and care for those around them.We believe every child has the right to access water, food, shelter and education...We believe that through providing Uganda’s needy children with access to water, food, shelter and education, we can break the poverty cycle to build a more sustainable future for the whole country. We believe in the difference that can be made by improving one life at a time...Esuubi believe that by shifting the course a single life we can impact the lives of many others. At the heart of Esuubi is an understanding that in order to change lives in the future we must grow a generation who have the life skills, education and understanding of how to survive in a changing world. Mid Cheshire Riding for the Disabled are an independent Charity affiliated to Riding for the Disabled Association - as such we have to raise around £15,000 per year to support our riders Mid Cheshire Riding for the Disabled have been running for over 35 years in Cheshire and for over 4 years at our new base in Knutsford. We provide horse riding activities for people with various disabilities from the age of 5 upwards. We have riders who come as individuals and others who come as part of school/day care groups. Riding is a great way of providing exercise and is a wonderful social activity as well as being fun. In 2012/13 we gave 2300 individual rides and we have 126 disabled children and adults taking part in our activities. We are completely reliant on our great volunteers. We own 3 ponies and borrow others - so we need funds to keep them, for shoes, insurance and to buy special equipment that will help our riders. We have regular fund raising events but donations are always welcome Charity No: 1074130 Find out more Website http://www.midcheshirerda.org

Penrose was founded in 1968 to work with and support vulnerable individuals, those with mental health illness, forensic mental health, offending histories and substance misuse issues. We continue to work with some of the most vulnerable, complex and high-risk needs members of society, assisting our service users in achieving: recovery, stability, community integration and leaving behind offending histories. Every year we work with over 500 people from our residential bases and a further 2000 from our drop-in services. Penrose puts into place personalised programmes that will support the service user and inculcate offending-free behaviours. Penrose consistently record recidivism rates of less than 9% throughout our offender resettlement, Drug Intervention Programme and Integrated Offender Management services. Our return to inpatient care remains consistent at less than 1% of service users within our mental health services. Penrose are ambitious for our service users. Our aim is to support people into productive and independent lives to make each community a safer place to live, work and raise families. Our focus is on securing the most effective and successful outcome for an individual’s future. Raising money through fundraising and donations is essential to us being able to improve our services, offer better services and help more people. Your support is very much appreciated. If you would like more information about our services, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0203 6689270

Yarls Wood is an Immigration Removal Centre in North Bedfordshire, which detains women and families. The Befrienders, as an independent charity based in Bedford, provides much-needed support to anyone held in Yarls Wood who requests it. Through the simple act of visiting and listening, we try to restore self-esteem and reaffirm a basic sense of human dignity. Being held at Yarl’s Wood can be a traumatic experience, especially as detainees do not know how long they are likely to stay there, or whether they will be eventually released or returned to their country of origin. As well as offering emotional support, we also try to give practical help where we can. Many of those leaving Yarl’s Wood will be returning to places where they face immediate danger, or countries they left long ago. They often return to great uncertainty, sometimes with little more than the clothes on their backs. We have a small destitution fund to support people leaving Yarl’s Wood and the money raised through your donations will be used to help replenish this vital source of help. If you know of anyone in Yarls Wood who is in need of befriending support, please do contact us. Thank you very much for your generosity.
