The Olgar Trust is keeping the woods alive by owning and managing a 5.5 acre site – called ‘Eley Grove’ – near Hastings, East Sussex. It is a beautiful spot; a wood within a larger wood. It is a special place for children, where they can abandon their connection to the internet and go back in time. We would love to complete the project by increasing our acreage by buying more land.

We are the PTA for Ilmington CofE Primary School. We are a small primary school with only 117 pupils. As the government continues to reduce the funding for schools, it is becoming increasingly important to raise additional funds for the school. We are a really proactive PTA and arrange lots of fundraising events throughout the year, including serving tea and cake at our local Village Show & school productions, family events such as Bingo, Breakfast with Santa, Easter events, the list goes on! All profits from our events and any raffles held go direct to the school. We currently have 2 big projects that the school have asked our support with, as their ever reducing budget just won’t stretch that far. Our first project is to make the playground a safer and more inclusive environment. The school would like to add a quiet corner with shelter and add a wall mural, repair the current shelter and decking area. Along with freshening up the current playground markings. This work is going to cost around £10,000. The second project is to purchase a new set of Phonics Reading Scheme. The school currently use the E-book version, but to purchase the physical books it cost £8,178. Having the actual books to use in school and send home means that they are full accessible to all pupils. We really appreciate any support that you can give us to help us provide this much needed provisions. Thank you for taking the time to read about our current projects.
