HarrisonParrott Foundation is the philanthropic arm of HarrisonParrott, long recognised as one of the world’s leading arts management companies, and has at its heart our mission to support and champion diversity and inclusion within the arts. We believe everyone deserves access to the arts. We want to challenge preconceived assumptions of what the arts are and who they are for. As passionate advocates for innovation, we want to challenge the idea that ethnicity, gender, disability, neurodivergence and social background are impediments to full inclusivity By forming the Foundation, HarrisonParrott hopes that others will be encouraged to follow suit so that the industry, as a whole, collectively tackles the serious issues of diversity and access to the music industry. HarrisonParrott Foundation has initially partnered with Tri-Borough Music Hub, Music for All, and Creative Access to develop a series of programmes to help overcome issues of diversity and inclusion. In 2020, despite the incredible difficulties of the pandemic, we were able to reach over 150 young people by delivering virtual masterclasses and workshops, led by talent from our own roster. Emerging from this challenging period, the Foundation now plans to identify and develop new partnerships, projects, and programmes to play a role in leading the performing arts into the future and how we engage with wider society.

Bristol Free School (UK, 001234) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

BFS (Bristol Free School) is a vibrant, successful and popular secondary school with sixth form serving the community of North West Bristol. It was set up in 2011 following a long campaign from local parents. It's grown from 80 to 1080 students in 8 years . The BFS School Fund has been set up to enable our families to make a voluntary donation to the school to enable some of those "extras" for our students that we might not otherwise afford. The fund supports extra-curricular activities and specifically the development of social space. As our school is on a regenerated site, there is a need and plenty of scope to create and develop an outside environment with zones suitable for all our students' needs.

Global Hope Network International, Uk (UK, 1148384) Browse events

YTD Raised: n/a

Global Hope Network International UK seeks to empower those living in extreme poverty throughout Africa, Asia and the Middle East, to end it themselves through a process called Transformational Community Development. This process works alongside villagers in very rural areas of the nations most riddled with extreme poverty throughout the regions we serve. Research has shown there are five key elements oppressing those in extreme poverty making it difficult for them to rise above. These elements are: access to clean WATER; a renewable and nutritious FOOD source; WELLNESS habits to prevent diseases; access to at least a primary EDUCATION for all children; and INCOME generating sources for families. Once the community, working together, find solutions for the five key issues that meet cultural and local needs, they work to determine how best to bring the solution into reality. How is GHNI different? The #1 difference is GHNI lifts the villagers up offering a hand up, not a handout and works alongside villagers to bring solutions rather than doing it for them. Our process restores dignity and instills self-confidence rather than further oppressing those we seek to help. GHNI brings help and hope to the hidden and hurting.
