We provide healthcare to third world remote rural communities that have very limited or no access to health care by using modern technology and innovation. Remote rural people make long & arduous journeys to medical centres but are now treated in their homes using community health workers (CHW) travelling to the patient and linking with the doctors in their clinics, and hospitals via tele-medicine technology. The CHWs carry essential drugs and are trained in dispensing with advice from the doctors. The doctors talk directly with patients and the CHWs in real time using the tele-medicine technology. The Patient’s condition and clinical observations are transmitted to the doctor through tele-medicine and recording apps. The Patient’s medical details are available to the doctor and CHW via an app on their hand held tablet and a remote Electronic Medical Records Database.Patients who need escalated treatment are evacuated to hospital in the same ambulance that the CHWs use to attend the call. All treatments provided by us including drugs are free to patients who cannot fund their treatment. A remarkable story of a social enterprise development & achievement against all odds............... Over 30 years ago, concerned parents, living surrounded by water felt that their children had a right to be taught to swim. Campaigning and fundraising for a swimming pool began, and by 1991 £1 million had been raised by the community enabling their “dream pool” to be built. The conversion of a redundant Morrison Bowmore whisky bond on the romantic Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland resulted in The Mactaggart Leisure Centre being born, comprising of a swim pool, sauna, gym, launderette, hairdressers & mutli purpose room. 21 years later the Mactaggart Leisure Centre is an award winning establishment, continuing to provide all that’s best in Health, Leisure, Social Recreation & Education for everyone on the Isles of Islay and Jura. Through training, volunteering & employment we provide a wide range of activities & services for all age groups in response to community demand. As a stand alone enterprise the Mactaggart Leisure Centre relies on grants, private trusts, foundations & general donations for its continued existence. Please donate as much as you can to a very deserving cause.

Loan Smart is a new registered charity that has been established to help tackle the scourge of illegal money lending in the UK. The latest statistics estimate that 310,000 individuals nationally are borrowing from loan sharks, meaning that illegal money-lending is a significant problem in our communities. Data from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) shows that 36% of consumer credit enquiry calls to its Consumer Credit Centre involve status and regulation such as checking on a firm’s authorisation status. In addition, research conducted by the Illegal Money Lending Teams (IMLTs) indicates that a high percentage of people going to a loan shark did not realise it was illegal. There is therefore an opportunity to raise awareness of the existence of illegal money-lending.
About Us M.A.S. was set up in 2010 with the aim to provide a sanctuary for mistreated animals in the North East of England. In June 2012 we were granted charitable status by the Charities Commission for England & Wales. Our sancturay aims to offer a place of saftey to any animal which has been the victim of cruelty or neglect, by providing shelter and care for pets and farm animals, as well as wild animals suffering as a result of accidental injury. We will never turn any animals away. Cases of animal cruelty and neglect in the UK are increasing every year. Last year alone, the RSPCA received over 1.3 million phone calls, and the number of prosecutions rose by 20%. Behind all of these statistics are animals in need of care. We receive no government or lottery funding, and rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Any donation you can make will help to open our doors to mistreated, neglected, and injured animals. Please help us to help them
