Founded in 1926, Slough Rugby Club is a traditional, community focused club which aims to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. The senior (adult) section fields a 1st XV in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier League and a 2nd XV in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon 3rd Division. The Club also boasts a small but growing youth section with approx. 80 boys and girls aged 5+ playing rugby with us every Sunday morning. Slough Rugby Club is very proud of the work it does in bringing rugby to the community including providing qualified coaches for our youth section and hosting tournaments for local schools while taking part in a number of charity and community events throughout the year. It takes a lot of work, time and money to ensure that everyone can play and train safely every week and as a non-profit and voluntary-run organisation reliant on sponsorship, donations and fund-raising your support will help us in continuing to offer rugby to all in our diverse local community.
Raising £9000 for a Syrian Family to settle in BrauntonThe Syrian war has created the biggest humanitarian crisis since World War 2. Over 12 million Syrians have been displaced. 5.1 million of those are in refugee camps. Half of those in refugee camps are children. Life in a refugee camp is very difficult. Lots of children have to work to help support the family, and therefore miss out on an education. There is also a high risk of children being exploited through child labour, child marriage and other forms of abuse. The UK government has set up a Community Sponsorship Scheme which enables local UK communities to raise money to help support a Syrian family to integrate into the local area. This is part of the 20,000 Syrian refugees which the government has agreed to resettle in the UK by 2020. The Braunton Community Sponsorship group is hoping to be approved by the home office to resettle a Syrian family. As part of this we need to raise £9000. The money will go towards, housing, Interpretation, English lessons, food, transport etc for the family whilst they begin to integrate into the local community.By giving money, you can give hope and future to a Syrian family. You can help give the children an education, and the support to help the parents find work. You can be a part of changing a families future. You can be a part of a global community.Thankyou Charity No: 1158997

Tickled Pink has raised over £38m for breast cancer charities since it started 17 years ago. We are very grateful to everyone that has helped us reach such an amazing figure - we couldn't have done it without you. In 2014 Tickled Pink became a registered charity with the aim of making sure that nobody should be left to deal with breast cancer alone. We believe we are stronger together and that everyone needs a helping hand, especially those affected by breast cancer. We are encouraging everyone to lend a hand for Tickled Pink as we strive to raise £5m for breast cancer charities this year. Thank you
Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia is one of the world’s most storied pipe bands. Although the band launched a new brand identity in 2012, the core values of the organisation remain the same as they have been for the last forty years. Our primary focus is to compete at the highest level of pipe band competition whilst ensuring that we continue to teach as many local young pipers and drummers as we can. The title of our recent concert, "Forte" not only alluded to our 40th anniversary, but also pays reference to the strength that the organization has consistently maintained since 1972. We are a self-funding organisation relying on fundraising and donations. Your support will be very much appreciated.
Part of a worldwide organisation, Rotary International, we join 50,000 men and women from all walks of life across 1,800 Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. We are all volunteers working to benefit our local and international communities whilst coming together to enjoy fellowship.
A charitable trust. Our aim is simple but profound; to alleviate poverty through literacy. Object of the charity: To advance the education of pupils in Tamale, northern Ghana. When working in Ghana we were introduced to a remarkable school - the Gbewaa School in Tamale. There are around 400 eager children in attendance aged between 2 and 12. The school is an indispensible part of its community. Many children at the school are orphans or have lost a parent. With no outside funding, Jemilatu - the inspirational Headteacher - supports the school herself, however she is able to. She devotes herself to the school, firm in the knowledge that in the poorest parts of northern Ghana, education is the primary hope the children and the community in Tamale have to break their cycle of poverty. Jemilatu’s cause is a noble one. With the support of many philanthropists, Gift for Ghana successfully raised the funds as a small charity to build new classrooms for Gbewaa school. The benefit to Gbewaa school has been dramatic. Now we are developing our charitable activity and will become a charitable trust. We endeavour to provide water and electricity to the school as well as to facilitate a rich educational experience between two very different and remarkable schools. Rarely in life does a human being have a remarkable opportunity to positively change the life of another. Rarer still are the chances in life to positively revolutionise a community of people. Investment in this school will allow more children to benefit from the gift of literacy and education, provide opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and give hope to a new generation. On behalf of the staff and pupils of Gbewaa school, as well as the trustees, thank you!
