Rakemark Respite is a unique holiday club caring for children with special needs and disabilities aged 2 - 10 years open each school holiday for 4 days per week (Tue to Fri) from 10am to 3pm whilst offering respite to parent/carers giving them time to spend with other children in the family.
There is always a warm welcome at St Mary the Virgin, Thornbury. Our beautiful grade I listed church dates back to Norman times. We are currently embarking on an adaptation of the west end to provide disabled access to the toilet and better space to enjoy chat and refreshments. Come and join us!

We run a nursery and feeding station in Nsumbi Village, Monkey Bay Malawi. Up to 100 children a day are cared for, educated and receive a vital lunchtime meal. We work closely with the local community. All our team in Malawi receive a salary. The staff teach the children in Chichewa and English. Could you help us to help them? Our main aim is the provision of a Preschool education to the children of Nsumbi Village. The nursery is called Madalitso meaning Blessings in Chichewa. As well as this vital provision we also work closely with the local workers at the clinic. Map - Malawi Against Physical Disabilities are one of our main partners. We provide multi sensory toys for their clinics. We also support individual children with their special needs - such as provision of special bikes and help with school transport and Educational expenses. Jacdor Community Pre-School is in the centre of Coningsby, in Lincolnshire. We look after 55 children, with 32 of them attending each of our nine sessions during the week. We are planning to have our school building, which is 40 years old, completely refurbished in the near future, and this month we are launching an appeal for funding to do this. Please help. Reigate Methodist Church opened a new community centre on the High Street in 2011 after 10 years of fundraising.
