A Charity to Allow the Spirit of Olivia Burt to Live On Our daughter Olivia was a gifted and beautiful young woman who inspired others. Only 20 years old, she was killed in February 2018 in a horrendous incident at Durham, where she was a first-year student studying natural sciences. She was just embarking on a journey that would have doubtless seen her leaving a lasting mark on our world. But more than this, everyone who knew Olivia remembers her smile and her kindness, and how she would go out of her way to help people. Olivia has been taken from us, but Olivia Inspires aims to allow her spirit to live on by helping young people in the New Forest to realise their potential. About Olivia Olivia lived most of her 20 years in the New Forest, in the village of Milford on Sea. Her death came as a shock to everyone, all the more so because of her kindness, selflessness, and courage, which shone through in everything she did. Olivia achieved many things in her short life and always tried to be the best that she could be in everything she did. She started sailing Optimists when she was 5 years old, moving into Lasers, 4.7s and Radials. She sailed internationally in GBR teams in all of these classes. As a gifted pupil at Bournemouth School for Girls, she was fully involved in her school community leading to her being chosen as Head Girl. She did all of this and much more with an infectious smile and a willingness to help others. What Olivia Inspires Does Olivia Inspires will help children and young people aged 11 to 18 years, whose families live in the New Forest District Council area and who are facing financial hardship. Grants of normally no more than £500, will be awarded for items or services which enable them to develop their potential in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), the arts and sport. A charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, registration number 1181719.
We aim to build a spirit of community at EPHS and raise money for our children's journey through school.
We raise finance for the fabric and fittings in Great Yarmouth Minster; the largest parish church in the country. At present we are concentrating on the restoration of the fine historic organ by Hill in 1876. The organ is the largest in East Norfolk and we need £700,000. It has a great secular use
We are a group of parents and those working with deaf children who want a better deal for deaf children and their families. We feel that it is helpful to come together to share information and meet others in the same position because by coming together we are able to give support and swap ideas. At Sign Hi Say Hi! (Fylde, Wyre and Blackpool Deaf Children’s Society) you’ll find both deaf and hearing parents with a wealth of experience of deafness. They may have experience some of the difficulties you may be facing. We may be able to help or, if not, we can put you in touch with others who can.
Our churches have been serving the villages for hundreds of years. We are here to help you celebrate, remember and worship. In times of need we provide pastoral care. Please help us to ensure that our churches can continue to be welcoming places of prayer and faith; and a focus for our communities
We are a community of faith that lives to glorify God through Jesus Christ in worship, making disciples, loving one another, and serving the community. We're a group of ordinary people from many backgrounds, who have had many different experiences in life, both good and bad. We have one thing that brings us together and unites us – our love for our Father God and our relationship with him through his son, Jesus Christ.
