FACT is a new, unique charity aimed specifically at autistic children who require special care, attention and therapy on a daily basis. We want to provide training for the parents and for the professionals to teach us their skills so our children reach their true potential and live life to the full.
Charity Buddy is a registered UK based charity supporting animal welfare and the environment. Our key work streams are: Rewilding, Pet Rehoming, Pro bono Business and Creative Support to other animal welfare and environmental organisations, and Sanctuary Care for older animals.
Our aim is to provide support to parents and give them opportunities to meet other families living with Down’s Syndrome. We are a great source of local and general information regarding Down’s Syndrome and we hope to raise awareness and understanding in the local community. We hold monthly meetings on the first Saturday of the month at Whitewell Bottom Community Centre and we have a full range of outdoor and indoor activities for the kids (and adults!). Yakety Yak is our weekly speech and language service for children with Down's Syndrome. DSE international's research shows that learning to talk is a particular challenge for children with Down syndrome - more so than many other areas of development. Difficulties communicating present obstacles in daily life and can be a major source of frustration. ELDSSG through Yakety Yak are hoping to help develop these skills as far as possible
We distribute prams, clothes, highchairs, nappies and toiletries to families in need living in the London Borough of Bromley. Most of our items are donated by local parents. Families, many of whom are fleeing domestic violence, are referred to our service by health professionals in the area.
We are an Early Intervention Mental Health Charity working with children and families 0-11 years in Banbury, Oxfordshire. We help to stop small problems (worries, wobbles and tantrums) from becoming much bigger problems. We help children manage the BIG emotions of fear, anxiety, anger & grief.
Wild Welfare is a global organisation committed to improving animal welfare for captive wild animals. Thousands of zoos and aquariums exist worldwide, but relatively few are accountable to high standards of animal welfare. We aim to be the voice for animals in these facilities, by uniting the world’s leading zoos, zoo associations and animal welfare organisations, building trusting partnerships that help provide long-term solutions to critical wild animal welfare issues. Our vision is to end the suffering of captive wild animals around the world and ensure full and sustainable protection is given to all animals in human care.
Dexters Odyssey has been set up in memory of Dexter Liebow, to help families dealing with a new childhood cancer diagnosis by providing care packages. We will create memories through days out for families. The charity will support the oncology play departments in sourcing new equipment.
