(UK, 1044496) Formally called Aid International, we have changed our name to Bourne Relief to reflect our desire to increase our fundraising to also support work in the UK. Bourne Relief helps a number of projects in the UK and abroad that are in need. In Guatemala, we help abused and orphaned children through Gifts of Love International. They currently house 35 children to offer them a better hope for the future. In Lusaka, we help educate school children in the newly built Kingswood Christian Academy through Fountain of Life Church. And at home we support the Bourne Family Project offering adult counselling, play therapy and parenting courses.

This service provides families who are unable to afford the immediate necessities for a new baby with essential clothing, toiletries, toys and (where permitted under current health and safety legislation) equipment, free of charge. This service is by referral from Health Visitors, Midwives, Social Workers, churches or other agencies such as Sure Start Children's Centres.

The school opened its doors to 3 girls aged 11 years in February 2012. There are now almost a hundred girls on roll. We are hoping to expand our educational offer to include Early Years provision for 3-5 year olds and Key Stage 1 starting in September 2015. The aim is to become an 'Outstanding' institution providing education from 3 to 19 over a number of years.
