East Barnet Old Grammarians, known as EBOG, is an amateur football club open to all the community. It caters for men and ladies from age 16 upwards, girls and boys. Created, run, maintained and funded by its own volunteer members it offers affordable organised football competing in a League and several Cups. The Clubhouse and football pitches are located at the end of Alan Drive, off Mays Lane, Barnet. The Clubhouse was paid for and built in 1962 by the EBOG members of that era themselves (see photos right, of the tennis courts being built in the 1960s). Since then all maintenance of the Clubhouse and grounds has been paid for or carried out voluntarily by the members, apart from new pitch drainage in 2007 (see photo) for which the Club received a grant. Since the very first season, EBOG has suffered from the disappointment and drop in bar income caused by cancelled games because of sodden pitches. The new drainage has almost put an end to that (this Winter being an exception), but the clay soil means that the pitches must be dressed with tons of sand every year or they will soon go back to their original state. The sand however, costs thousands of pounds and this year in particular, EBOG needs to put as much effort as possible into raising funds. Every little bit raised adds up and could ensure that the Club continues to exist and thrive for the benefit of current and future members of the community. EBOG 12 hour football marathon!! Saturday 15th June - Don't miss it! Go to www.virginmoneygiving.com/ebog12hourfootballmarathon for more details and to sponsor the team!

The Rumic Foundation Trust was founded in 1993 by June and Roger Chapman.Their aim was to create mobility for young people in Cumbria. Today, we promote financial assistance to disadvantaged, sick or disabled young persons in the Furness and South Lakeland/ Copeland area of Cumbria to improve their health, to provide medical assistance and to further their education and employment training. Therefore, we co-operate with local charities and voluntary bodies in order to recover funds and donations to contribute a benefit to our young community. With our 10th anniversary we not only want to thank the people who supported us immensely throughout the years but we also intend to raise more awareness of our work. We aim to fundraise enough money to buy a new bus for our fleet so that we are able to expand our services and support more young people with their mobility, their school education and they lives. So be part of it!
The 197th provides activities for over 70 children in Bristol. Children come from many schools and we meet the needs for a range of physical, social and cultural needs. Through a few volunteers we deliver an exciting programme, tirelessly fundraising to keep this group going. On 17th April 2011 York Gibson will be running the London Marathon in aid of the 197th. Amongst other things it is hoped that sufficient funds can be raised to help install proper heating in the Scout hut so the children don't keep getting frostbite in the winter months. Come on, ask your family and friends to donate and help us reach our £1000 target!

Access to education in the remote areas of India is limited due in part to no current facilities in place, the tradition that children work rather then gain an education and has not been accorded value by the elders of the village. We only start centres with the full involvement of the local community in the management of their project and also train local instructors to work in the education centre. We equip children with essential skills for coping with the challenges of contemporary life. You can help a child have a future, please help

What is muscle disease?Muscle disease causes muscles to waste and weaken, making it hard for those affected to do even the simplest task. It doesn’t just affect the muscles in the arms and legs but the heart and respiratory muscles too. Muscle disease is life-limiting and incurable. Who is Murrays Muscles? Our son Murray was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2005. Since then, along with family and special friends we have formed a charity, based in Worcestershire aimed at benefiting patients suffering from muscular dystrophy and related diseases across the West Midlands Region. What do we do? We work on several levels aiming to relieve sickness, preserve and protect the health of patients within our patient group by: We help to lead the fight against muscle disease in the UK.
The main aim of the group is to offer support, non-medical advice and information to those coping with liver disease. It fundraises for much needed medical equipment for the wards and clinic and also raises awareness for the great need for organ donors. It has financially supported research projects.

The Imps is a flagship youth organisation, open to all, and in support of mainstream education, dedicated to the development of young people. The Imps, noted for its impeccable smart red tunics and highly disciplined spectacular show originated in the 1970’s from The Hackney Adventure Holiday Project; a charity founded by Roy Pratt MBE that provided holidays in the country for under privileged children. After a couple of the children found a motorcycle, Roy tasked them with repairing it, and from that a motorcycle display team was born. The Imps has now taken thousands of children across the world putting on displays in the UK, Singapore, Canada, Norway and the US. Jamie Waller an ex Imp describes his 11 years in the team as “the most valuable period of my life was spent as a member of the Imps. I joined at the age of 5 and left when I was 16. During this period I grew to be a confident young adult. An asset that led me to become an entrepreneur and business owner employing over 150 people across the UK. Without the Imps I am confident that none of my business success would have been possible”.
