Bursaries are available so that no-one is deterred from applying for financial reasons. The choirs meet twice each year, during the spring and summer holidays for residential courses. These intensive courses give the members opportunities to develop their vocal technique across a wide range of music, gain outstanding performance experiences and develop leadership and teamwork skills.  NYCGB is grateful to many individuals and organisations for funding our work with Britain's best young singers. At NYCGB, our ethos is to support and nuture musical talent in young people, whatever their background or financial circumstances. To create this provision, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and companies. Support could be financial, but in-kind gifts are equally valuable. The young people who are successful at audition embark upon a wide and enriching educational experience. Your support allows us to carry on this work with future generations. Please contact Nina Camilleri, Development Director, with enquiries about supporting NYCGB, fundraising, and alumni relations. Email [email protected] We have launched an exciting members fundraising campaign entitled the Young Persons' Future Fund. Bishop of London's Mission Fund (UK, 241083) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The Bishop of London’s Mission Fund encourages and supports mission work throughout the Diocese of London, particularly community based projects with a particular bias to serving the poor and vulnerable, often reaching “beyond the walls of the church” to fund projects in areas of deprivation. Since 2004, over one hundred projects have received support with grants totaling £3.8M. The projects supported include children, youth and family workers, youth theatre groups, community cafes, drop-in centres and environmental projects and 38 of these projects were in 25% of the most deprived areas in England (2010 Index of Multiple Deprivation).   Throughout the Diocese of London there is a growing need to support social projects in deprived areas as council and government funding is withdrawn.  The Diocese of London is uniquely equipped for this role, as through its 450 parishes, the Diocese is present in every community, and can really make a difference to the communities it serves. The increasing number of projects applying for funding from the Bishop of London's Mission Fund means that additional funds are needed to respond to the needs of communities North of the Thames.   Please help us to help those in need by donating to the Bishop of London's Mission Fund.

YTD Raised: £0.00

Whilst it should be taken as read that the charity's objective is the promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this specific appeal is to raise funds for the repair of the roof and spire of this well known local landmark. The 5 yearly inspection of the Church building in 2014 recommended essential work be carried out urgently, in particular to "monitor lead roofs and consider replacement before whole sale problems occur". There are regular leaks in wet weather. The PCC have decided to commit £100,000 from our reserves. The Fiends of St. Mary's have committed a further £125,000, but this still leaves us £135,000 short (even with VAT recovery) of the estimated total of £451,000.
