Consensual same-sex sexual intimacy is still a crime in 75 jurisdictions worldwide, making LGBT people at best ‘unapprehended felons’ across almost half of all countries, and at worst a highly persecuted minority. We provide technical legal assistance to local activists and lawyers for use in test-case litigation to challenge criminalising laws. Litigation is often the only option for local LGBT communities to uphold their rights contained in national constitutions and under international human rights law. We are a registered charitable organisation which is only able to provide this much needed support due to the generous support we receive from donors and the pro bono assistance from a panel of the world’s leading law firms. You can help our work by donating now! And if you’re a UK taxpayer, donations will now be topped up by an extra 25%! (UK, 1188391) Browse eventsWe provide a simple way for people to support the most impactful organisations addressing the climate emergency, in order to keep our planet and communities clean, healthy and thriving for generations to come. Our future depends on us having a healthy planet. But our actions are severely damaging the environment. Many people want to do something to address the climate crisis but simply don’t know how, which is why EarthPercent is working with scientists, activists and experts to identify and fund the most promising solutions. Donations are used to provide much needed funds to organisations at the forefront of tackling the climate crisis and creating a healthy and equitable future – in areas such as nature restoration and protection, climate justice and equitable environmental stewardship, a just energy transition, and systemic legal and policy change. Every organisation is vetted by our Expert Advisory Panel, made up of leaders from across the environmental and climate movement, including scientists, academics, policymakers, science communicators and climate justice advocates. We are aiming to raise $100 million by 2030. Together we can make a huge difference to the future of our planet.
