Each responder is unpaid and gives their time, fuel costs and personal equipment for free. Lowland Rescue is the national coordinating body, officially recognised alongside Mountain Rescue, Cave Rescue and the RNLI by Government, and we provide governance and support to our member teams in different counties.With over 1200 members and around 50 search dogs, we cover 32 Police Force areas including all of Northern Ireland, and most of the non-mountainous UK.
