We fundraise throughout the year to help provide those important ‘extras’ for the children that would not otherwise be provided by the school. In recent years our efforts have helped purchase musical instruments, sports equipment, film and photographic equipment as well as most recently, helping refurbish, fit out and stock the school library. The Portcullis Trust raises money to support LLDD (learning difficulties and disabilities) students at RACC (Richmond Adult Community College).We help fund special training schemes for the LLDD students, and help those on low incomes with course fees.The Portcullis Trust will be raising funds to support a Celebration of Achievement for LLDD students on July 4.RACC has a background of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities with courses and qualifications for lip reading, skills for living and learning, skills for work and a new Working Model project, an enterprise for LLDD students.The Portcullis Trust raises money through lectures, quizzes, plant sales and this year through a team competing in the Richmond Park Marathon in May.
