Founded in memory of musician David Longdon. We support young musicians from disadvantaged backgrounds through the David Longdon Bursary. In partnership with Nordoff and Robbins, we fund music therapy for those who need it most. UK registered charity No.1216766
Every year we provide funding to enable over 200 young people to enjoy our outdoor learning experiences; experiences designed to help them attain in education, develop positive relationships with themselves and others, and improve their chances of work and financial independence.

We raise finance for the fabric and fittings in Great Yarmouth Minster; the largest parish church in the country. At present we are concentrating on the restoration of the fine historic organ by Hill in 1876. The organ is the largest in East Norfolk and we need £700,000. It has a great secular use

Since 1994, The Friends has undertaken a number of activities to provide funding for several specific projects and also regular maintenance. These have included the gas-fired central heating, bells restoration, electrical winding of the clock, the provision of a Rector's vestry and many others.
