In the past the Charity has provided state of the art medical equipment for UCL Hospitals, invested in health initiatives for staff and funded academic medical research projects in conjunction with University College London. Current projects included a £3m joint venture with UCL Hospitals to develop a pioneering education centre, and the investment of £7m, from past legacies, in biomedical research. We are also developing a UCLH homeless healthcare service, responding to an ‘invisible’ patient group who often lack representation. The East Anglian Air Ambulance now runs two fully medically equipped helicopters (code-named Anglia One and Anglia Two) serving the people of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Between the two helicopters they are able to provide a life-saving resource, reaching patients quickly and if required, transporting them to the most suitable hospital (rather than the nearest) within minutes. On-going public support is essential to enable us to continue offering this vital service and we are very grateful for your kind donation.

Our programme of activities includes music therapy, dancing, arts, crafts, cookery, gardening, games, quizzes, talks, exercise, massage, discussion groups, and virtual reality to name but a few. Every donation we receive contributes towards providing this valued service to local carers and their relatives. This, in turn, leads to reduced isolation and an overall improvement in wellbeing for the people accessing our service. We are very grateful for all donations, without which, we would be unable to give vital support to people in desperate need of respite.
