We are developing a new hospice in Winchester to provide local palliative and end of life care for local people. Currently there is no hospice provision in the area, and patients requiring hospice care and services travel to Andover, West End or Basingstoke. Our aim is to raise funds to restore Burrell House, a 2 storey building within the grounds of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, to develop a hospice. This will provide 10 ensuite inpatient beds offering local specialist palliative and end life care for patients with life limiting illnesses, and their families. We will also offer therapy, day services and out patient facilities. The service will incorporate the existing Hampshire Hospitals Home Care Support Team, who currently provide care at home for patients at the end of their life, and will enable a new Hospice at Home service to provide overnight care and support for those most in need in the Winchester area.

FIGHTING LYME AND ASSOCIATED DISEASES, THROUGH RESEARCH AND KNOWLEDGE Caudwell LymeCo Charity is the only UK charity raising money for scientific research into Lyme disease. Anyone, adults or children, elderly people or even pets can catch Lyme disease from the bite of a tick, and the devastating effects can be life-altering.Our charity's aim is to support the NHS and the government in seeking the best diagnostics and treatments for Lyme disease. We currently lack reliable evidence on simple fundamentals such as the best treatment for Lyme disease, the best way to diagnose it, or even how to check whether treatment has worked. Many thousands of people in the UK who have caught Lyme disease have never made a full recovery; we desperately need research to find out how to help them. Caudwell LymeCo Charity is supported by a kind sponsor, Mr. John Caudwell, who pays all our staff and administrative costs, meaning every penny you give goes straight into our research fund. Please support us in helping people who are too ill to help themselves. To find out what we have done so far, or to learn how to keep yourself safe from Lyme disease, please visit our website. Charity No: 1169342 Find out more Website https://caudwelllyme.com/
