Most patients are looked after in their own homes, but short-term care, out-patient and day patient services are provided at the hospice in Winsley. All care is provided free of charge, but Dorothy House receives only about 30% of its funding from the NHS. This year, after NHS funding, more than £7,000 a day must be raised to continue to provide these services.
