The Fifth Trust supports adults with learning difficulties in Kent. It provides skills training and employment at two day centres in East Kent for adults aged 19 plus who live in independent residential homes or the local community. The centres play a vital part in the students' day, and give them stability, motivation, a sense of purpose and the opportunity to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. Fifth is a self-help group and has arisen from the needs of families. Although the residential homes and our centres are in Kent, many of the families we help come from other parts of the South East and in some cases much further afield.

We have a range of services including a 24 hour Freephone helpline, refuge and floating support, outreach, support for high risk survivors, groups for mothers and children and a pets project that finds temporary foster carers for family pets. We also work to raise awareness about domestic abuse and how it affects women and children. We do this through working with schools, healthcare professionals, the police and other agencies.
