Since 1977 the Oxted Rotary Pram Race has been providing a fun event and at the same time raising money for local causes. The Oxted Rotary Pram Race has been run since 1977. The ultimate objective of the Pram Race is to raise money for local causes, but having fun in the process. In fact participating in the event is quite simple – all you have to pay is an entry fee and ask family and friends to sponsor you to run the two thirds of a mile from Master Park to The Bell in Old Oxted High Street, however……you do need to push a pram in fancy dress and stop at each of the seven licensed premises on the way, where you have to down a drink as fast as you can! There are prizes as well as penalties for how well you do. Charity No: 1105812 Find out more Website http://www.oxtedpramrace.co.uk
Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are raising money for Syringe Drivers in our local communities.A Syringe Driver is a device that administers pain medication and other medicines in Palliative care. Syringe Drivers can help patients remain comfortable at home by administering a steady flow of pain relief and other medication over a 12 or 24 hour period. Some patients require more then one machine as certain drugs cannot be mixed.Syringe Drivers cost over £1100 each. Whittlesey, Thorney, Eye and Stanground only had 2 devices to share between all the residents. We are gradually increasing these numbers as well as trying to helping other areas covered by the Cambridgeshire Peterborough Foundation Trust increase their numbers as most of our surrounding towns and villages only have 1 or 2 available to cover a large population. National Dance Company Wales (NDCWales) capitalises on dance’s universality as a form of expressing emotion through motion. We perform across Wales, the UK and overseas taking people on journeys of discovery, creating opportunities to participate, discuss, watch and learn about dance, about themselves and about the world. Through participation NDCWales connects people with themselves and others through enhancing self-confidence, self-awareness; developing health, team-building and creativity. We run a range of projects at our home, The Dance House / Ty Dawns, Cardiff Bay including our Youth Ensemble programme – Associates, Dance Days and Dance Courses. When the company tours we run engagement activities including workshops and talks. The projects we create will deliver our artistic vision and values, helping to build and secure the future of dance and inspire a passion for dance in the communities we serve.

The Holburne Museum in Bath is one of the UK’s best-loved small museums and has ambitions to become one of Europe’s outstanding independent art museums. Would you like to help us transform the Holburne Museum into Bath’s art museum – for everyone? We are asking everyone to take part in the Holburne Challenge with the aim of raising £300,000 towards the final phase of our development project. The development, which includes restoration of our Grade I listed eighteenth-century home and the construction of a spectacular modern extension, will allow us to welcome and look after all our visitors properly. Our new spaces will transform what we can do from exhibitions to teaching and allow us to reveal our collection in all its glory. A new garden café will open onto the park in which the museum sits. We will be opening our doors to the renewed museum in May 2011 when for the first time the Holburne will be free to enter and fully accessible to all. With your support we can make sure that we continue our work within the community and provide the opportunity for everyone to access our collection, fantastic art exhibitions and events well into the future. The Holburne is more than a collection of paintings and decorative art objects; it is a community of people and we’d love you to be part of it.
