(UK, 1105097) Browse eventsChrysalis has been active for many years raising money for individual charities - in particular, the company's radio division has frequently worked with its listeners to raise funds for local good causes. Off the back of this, the company has now decided to set up the "Chrysalis Group Charitable Trust" to enable it to take a more proactive approach towards raising money. By setting up its own trust Chrysalis is now able to fundraise and claim gift aid efficiently, by entering into a partnership with Justgiving.com. It is also not restricted in the choice of charities that Chrysalis chooses to fundraise for, and can now process funds through the Trust which can then be allocated across a number of different charities of our choosing. The Radio Riders appeal is the first example of this approach in action.

(UK, 1156530) Browse eventsThink Amy is a registered charity which promotes safe driving. We do this through education, partnership working and raising public awareness about the consequences of dangerous driving. We have a particular focus on educating new and young drivers, statistically most likely to cause death or serious injury on the roads. The charity was set up by Jane Hofmeister after her 13 year old daughter Amy was killed on 15 June 2011 whilst cycling on a cycle path in broad daylight in Taunton, Somerset. The driver of the car that killed Amy had been racing another at motorway speeds along a residential road. He overtook the car he was racing, lost control on a bend and struck the kerb, flipping the car into the air which hit Amy, killing her instantly. We want to remind the driver that their driving style is a choice they make themselves - the driver alone has the power and the choice to drive safely - we want to influence that choice. We want to encourage all drivers to drive safely and reduce the number of avoidable, unnecessary deaths and serious injury on the roads.
(UK, SC046248) Browse eventsBookfeeding Project is a non-profit organization aimed at shipping second-hand books and re-usable educational material to communities in need.We refurbish educational facilities in cooperation with local NGOs and organizations as part of already existing projects, but we also build libraries as independent projects. The initiatives aim at being self-sustainable, environmentally friendly and at creating fruitful and long-lasting projects that can create revenue to maintain the educational facility in good conditions and support the costs related to it. If you have any unwanted books you can send them directly to one of our libraries, drop them off at one of our collection points, or even bring them with you when visiting one of our projects. We are on a mission to prompt a conscious involvement in volunteering experiences. We want people to realize first the challenges of their own society before embarking in a project abroad, and to be fully aware of the environment they are going to work in. Volunteers are welcome to contribute either in their home country or to join the projects in field. In this case, they are asked to bring in their unique human skills and ideas to the projects. We believe in small fundraise, and huge impact through a conscious contribution. This is possible, are you in?
