The Fraser Centre Community Trust vision is to create a learning, development, arts & entertainment centre in the heart of Tranent. Established in 2012 the Trust has been working hard to provide activities missing in the town and welcomed over 15,000 people in 2014. However our facility is not suitable for use and a new hub for the community is urgently required.Tranent is the only town in East Lothian without a community centre and is one of the worst areas for deprivation and poverty in East Lothian.This volunteer led Trust is now fundraising to reach £2 million to build a legacy for Tranent.The new centre will be a hub for the community promoting recreational activities, health, education and opportunity for everyone.Please donate to support our cause. The Friends of Raymond was formed in October 1996 to recover, restore and exhibit Raymond, the last unpowered wooden commercial carrying craft ever built in the UK: by 2002 restoration was complete. In 2003 we managed to purchase Nutfield, which used to tow Raymond when they were working boats.
