This long established autumn Ride starts and ends at Broomfields, Fulbrook Lane, Elstead, Surrey, GU8 6LG and has approximately 40 optional jumps from 1’6” to 3’3” in height. The course is about 8 miles in length crossing private woodland, farmland and commons providing wonderful views of the Surrey countryside. The Ride attracts 300-500 riders of all ages (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult) from all over the South of England and the safe operation of the Ride is due to the assistance of 80 volunteers who act as Jump Stewards, Road Crossing Marshalls and Parking Supervisors.Proceeds from the Ride of approximately £12,000 are donated to a number of local charities including Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Riding for the Disabled and Ash Friends of Shooting Star Chase as well as a number of other deserving causes in a 50 mile radius of the location.Ride details and Entry Forms can be found at out website and the Ride can be contacted by emailing [email protected]. NYCGB is a brilliant organisation consisting of eight choirs which provide the widest musical experiences for over 750 young people aged 9-24 from broad range of backgrounds. Bursaries are available so that no-one is deterred from applying for financial reasons.The choirs meet twice each year, during the spring and summer holidays for residential courses.These intensive courses give the members opportunities to develop their vocal technique across a wide range of music, gain outstanding performance experiences and develop leadership and teamwork skills.  NYCGB is grateful to many individuals and organisations for funding our work with Britain's best young singers. At NYCGB, our ethos is to support and nuture musical talent in young people, whatever their background or financial circumstances. To create this provision, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and companies. Support could be financial, but in-kind gifts are equally valuable. The young people who are successful at audition embark upon a wide and enriching educational experience. Your support allows us to carry on this work with future generations.
