Learning For Life Ghana (UK, 1169915) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

A fantastic organisation, with Christian values, that enables underprivileged young people in Ghana to realise their potential through further education and football training programmes. Many young people in Ghana face great challenges to proceed with education beyond primary school. We seek donations to enable such young people to access academic or vocational training programmes so they can extend their learning. LFLG also encourages the development of football in rural schools and communities, where opportunities to play are limited. This teaches teamwork and leadership skills, serving as a road map to becoming motivated, self-disciplined and responsible Ghanaian citizens. We are a small group of people who have supported and mentored needy and destitute children in Ghana for nearly 20 years. We are committed to coming alongside these young people whilst keeping our supporters regularly informed. Funds raised directly benefit underprivileged young people - so transforming their lives and futures. If you would like more information on the charity, or information on how to set up regular giving then please email us at: [email protected] THANK YOU! Charity No: 1169915

THE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF NEPALESE CHILDREN An independent Charity supporting the Education of Children in Nepal. The Charity was established because of the personal experiences of its founder, Lisa Whitehouse-Foskett, during her visits to Nepal and seeing first hand the desires of the children for learning. The Charity aims to provide not only improved school buildings, teaching materials and sports equipment but also, to be able to provide grants and scholarships to enable students to continue their education. The Charity's first project is the Budhha Primary School, located in a remote mountain village called Vittakhaka, east Nepal, where 52 pupils aged between 5 and 12years, are being assisted with their education. Every pound raised will help enormously, for example £1 will buy 10 text books and £15 a school uniform. Your money really does make a huge difference. Watch our short film on YouTube by typing in: CFENC UK Charity The film highlights the work we are doing in Nepal and is typical of the many schools & children that require help. From ourselves and the children, Dhanibat. (Thank You).

TEACH - Time To Empower Africa's Children (UK, 1137679) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

TEACH – Time to Empower Africa’s Children is a dynamic, frontline charity working to alleviate poverty through the power of education. Sustainability is at the heart of TEACH’s work – which is why we believe a hand-up is more effective than a hand out. We provide innovative and holistic educational programmes, which place the power to change firmly in young people’s hands.  TEACH’s pathway is two-fold: While we aim to empower young Africans through our field projects in Tanzania and Ghana, we also believe that it is imperative for the youth in the UK to become engaged with today’s pressing global development issues. We work with schools and universities across the UK promoting interactive learning amongst young people, with the aim of developing attributes of responsible, global citizens!
