3rd Kilsyth Boys Brigade Company (UK, SC033849) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

We're a Boys Brigade Company based in Kilsyth, Scotland raising money for the village of Katete in Malawi. For years we've worked with Katete: working with Mary's Meals, we built a kitchen at the local school so each child could get one meal a day in their place of education; following the massive increase in attendance at the school, we worked with Classrooms for Malawi to renovate some of the school's classroom and visited in June 2014 to help with the work. Now we're continuing fundraising to keep helping the school and the village. We hope to be able to pay for the renovation of the church which also serves as 2 classrooms during the week, so the people of Katete have a place both to worship and to learn, before hopefully returning in the summer of 2016 in order to give out the many goods and clothes that have been donated to us for the most vulnerable pupils at the school.

St Peter's Keystone Fund (UK, X12431) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

“Proud of our Past, Building our Future” St. Peter’s is a one form entry C of E Primary School in Hammersmith. We have 210 wonderful pupils who speak more than 30 languages between them. We were established in 1849 by Lucy Hannah Scott as one of the first charity schools in west London. Whilst we are in the middle of a building programme that is being funded by the LDBS & the Local Authority. the school itself needs to raise approximately £300k extra to pay for ‘additional requirements’ such as improved playground space, outside learning areas, a learning kitchen, where children will be taught to prepare simple meals, up to date IT provision, Audio Visual equipment for the new Hall and all the equipment for the dedicated Art, Science & Technology room that is being built. Fundraising has already started in earnest as the children, staff, parents & governors are passionate about this exciting project but this is a significant amount to raise from a one form entry school where there is a finite amount that our parents and immediate community can contribute, therefore we are seeking all the help that we can get! Plantsbrook School Parent Teacher Association (UK, 1040428) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Plantsbrook School PTA (now known as 'Friends of Plantsbrook School) raises valuable funds to support the school in giving young people meaningful learning experiences. We raise money for equipment and resources to enhance the facilities in school to enhance our childrens' education. Most importantly, we support students' own fundraising and enterprise activities. PTA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. During the past two years we have successfully raised enough funds to provide a playground gazebo shelter and, through sponsorship raised at last year's Great Midlands Fun Run, have been able to name a new Guide Dog puppy, who will be called 'Brook'. This year we are again splitting the proceeds between PTA funds and our chosen charity for this year, the Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield.
