The 500 Sponsored Walk is around the 150 acres of Lindholme Island, located at the heart of the Hatfield Moors, taking place on 6 - 7th July. The 500 walk is OPEN TO ALL, sponsorship forms are available on the website to download. If you would prefer NOT to walk! please help by sponsoring Heather Skidmore, Pete’s widow, who is too scared to parachute out of a plane to attract sponsors but isbrave enough to face the moors mud!

Over 400 residents and other students have helped thousands of beneficiaries.

This woodland is open to the community 24/7 every day and access is free. it is designed to provide not only an asset for the community where visitors can commune with nature but also a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna. It is managed and run by community volunteers and having purchased the land, the trust desperately needs funds to pay off the resultant debt and to fund maintenance of the wood for the future. This includes providing drainage to make the wood less dangerous underfoot. There is also a need to make at least the initial access of the wood disabled friendly.
