As an everlasting gift the memory photo Books and DVD’s are a lasting tribute recognising an individual child and their place in their family. The support we offer families is not available from any other organisation; it is unique and invaluable for the children they work with. The JUMP vision is that their memory package service is accessible to enhance the life of every child with life threatening health conditions. The memories they capture provide positive images to uplift a child when they may be suffering as a result of their illness. They are cherished by families and provide everlasting positive memories for parents and siblings and always bring a smile when presented. On the day of the professional shoot the child and family are made to feel incredibly special and the JUMP team have a way of ensuring that whilst capturing memories the children have a wonderful experience. The JUMP team are highly experienced in capturing memories and working with children with life threatening health conditions. Every child and family is treated with real care and respect and the team pay huge attention to ensure that each child’s memory day is tailored to them and creates an environment where the children are made to feel incredibly special.

YTD Raised: £1,697.00Spinal Injuries Scotland is the national voluntary organisation concerned with new and long-term spinal cord injured people, their relatives and friends, along with those involved in the management, care and rehabilitation of the injury. SIS provides immediate support through the office based Information Service and operates a self-referral information line. We also provide a legal and welfare rights advisory service. Our representatives, who are able to discuss all aspects of living with a spinal cord injury, undertake weekly visits to the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit. In addition we liaise with other similar voluntary and professional organisations so that the issues surrounding spinal cord injury are recognised and understood.

YTD Raised: £1,526.20Stroke Care for Newbury and West Berkshire is an independent local charity established in 1993 which grew out of Newbury Stroke Club. Our primary aim is to provide relief and practical support to people throughout West Berkshire who have suffered the effects of a stroke. In addition to our Family Support Team which focuses on making contact with stroke survivors in hospital, we have two main Stroke Support Groups (at Woolhampton and Shaw), which have an emphasis on aftercare, rehabilitation and confidence building. The Stroke Support Groups have a club type environment where individual goals are set to target recovery. Core activities include cognitive exercises, physiotherapy, fellowship, hydrotherapy, and speech therapy. We manage Hydrotherapy and Speakability groups, and sponsor dedicated Outpatient Physiotherapy at West Berks Community Hospital. In addition there are opportunities for carers and partners to meet for fellowship and to gather information and advice.
