Caroline House is a 20-bed unit for people aged 16 and over with complex neurological disability arising from head injury, stroke, neurological disease or following surgery for tumours. Caroline House is part of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) and sited within the Colman Centre (Hospital) for Specialist Rehabilitation Services, on Unthank Road, Norwich. Providing specialist rehabilitation the staff work in partnership with patients and their families to help the patients achieve as much independence, choice, dignity and fulfilment in their daily lives as possible. Charitable donations make a real difference to both the patients and staff at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C). The extra funds are used to enhance services and facilities as well as purchasing additional equipment to optimise patient care.

Our Out & About Stroke Group is a unique local service that helps the rehabilitation of isolated stroke survivors as well as their family and carers, to improve their quality of life. The survivors are predominantly based in the most economically disadvantaged communities in the Newcastle area. We operate a dedicated minibus based service and organise regular outings for our service users to a range of attractions in the region. This helps service users regain their independence, have regular breaks from their daily routine and gives them the opportunity to socialise with other stroke survivors.
