In 2008, The Wish Tree Charity was founded by 3 mothers within the village of Flamstead. Originally, its' aim was to support those Flamstead families with dependants, where a family member was facing serious illness or death. By funding the provision of childcare, domestic help and transport, The Wish Tree Charity helps the family unit to continue to operate as normally as possible in such difficult times. The Wish Tree has received such overwhelming support for its work, that this year it has decided to expand its constitution to encompass funding for any Flamstead resident (- whether they have dependants or not), following the recent diagnosis of a serious illness/ operation/death. Funds are provided through an annual fundraising event, personal donations and sponsored events.

The Ectopic Pregancy Foundation (EPF) is a charity organisation set up by a group of National Health Service (NHS) doctors to help give advice about this distressing condition that affects up to 1 in 100 pregnancies. We provide advice for both the medical profession and the general public, in the form of the website and a 24 hour telephone advice line. The EPF needs funds to support its activity and ambitions. Funding is required for hosting the website, providing the 24 hour patient helpline, mailshots to A&E departments, equipment to train gynaecologists in managing ectopic pregnancies and administrative support to run the organisation. All the trustees, faculty and international resident advisors are honorary and receive no financial reward and give their time freely. We do not have any governmental support. Proshanti is a health partnership that links the communities of east London with Bangladesh. This project involves both Bangladeshi and non-Bangladeshi people who are passionate about improving the health and life chances of some of the poorest people in the world. In Juri, Maulvibazar Division, the majority of people have very little access to healthcare. There is no government hospital in Juri sub-district and although there is a good government health team they are under- resourced. People do not know how to manage their own health and often end up going to hospital only when it is too late. Many poeple are malnourished. Preventable and curable diseases and conditions go untreated. The death rate of mothers and babies in childbirth is high. The money raised will pay for health camps and antenatal clinics over the next four years, as well as supporting volunteers. During this time we will also be raising £300,000 to build, support and equip a healthy living centre in Juri to improve the health of the people and to promote healthy living. The health camps and antenatal clinics started in 2010 and have already helped over 1,850 people. We hope we can continue this good work with the support of health staff, volunteers and fundraisers from UK and from Bangladesh.
We offer planned home/community support services for carers looking after a relative or friend with care needs Our service provides a chance for carers to be relieved of their caring role for short periods of time, giving them a much needed break.

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonateOur objective is to advance the health and well being of the population living within the Bromley borough and beyond, helping more people to stay well and manage their health conditions better. We have established ourselves, thanks to the generosity of our main donor - Bromley Healthcare - and by personal donations and fund raising events. Bromley Healthcare, which has enjoyed consistent support from its GP led Clinical Commissioning Group, has used some of its profits to get the charity up and running and enabled it to support a number of local projects. The main area in which the Charity is making an impact is in activities set up to help people to 'get better and stay well' or to 'keep well'. We do this by assisting and supporting people in a 'club environment' providing a range of clinical and social support. We are currently able to support five different areas and are doing this in partnership with a range of specialist charities and volunteers. We’re A Spoonful Of Sugar. We help seriously ill children in hospital. We do this by giving them the best medicine they can get. A laugh. Each week, we send a professional entertainer or artist into the wards to give the children a healing dose of fun. We try our best to give them something to look forward to - like arranging a post-treatment VIP trip to Hamleys. In all this, our aim is to help the children forget where they are, forget the suffering and forget the monotony of hospitalisation. If we can achieve any of that, even for a second, it’s all worth it. We already help the kids in the Carousel Ward of UCH in London. Now we need your help to get to the hundreds of children in 21 similar wards nationwide. Every penny you can spare will go directly into bringing some much-needed fun and laughter to all of them.

About us Al Noor Medical Trust operates for and on behalf of the most deprived and poor people of Pakistan in a non-discriminatory manner. We act with compassion and dignity and we aim to support the most disadvantaged members of society with their education as a strategy to help them escape poverty. We can also provide front line medical services to the ill. We are firm believers in wanting for your fellow man, what you want for yourself. Health, happiness and a bright future. These tenets are what we would deem ordinary, but what others would call a luxury. At Al Noor Medical Trust, it is our mission to bridge this gap and tackle poverty, illness and lack of education head on. Our ethos stems from the words of The Prophet (peace be upon him) who said ‘who ever relieve a believer's sufferings in this world, Allah will relieve sufferings of this in the hereafter’. A Future project for Al Noor Medical Trust Education project In some areas in Pakistan people can not afford food to eat never mind education. Nevertheless, education is paramount to resolving the long term problems that many residents of Pakistan face. Therefore we have decided to invest in those who cannot afford basic education as this is fundamental to ensuring their long term betterment. Another project to look out for in the future is Sponsor a child Your sponsorship is pivotal and can help a child achieve his or her true potential and transform their dream into a reality.
