He is now in the final stages of rehabilitation but like other spinal injuries patients, will face ongoing costs for the rest of his life. The Jimmy Goddard Trust Fund has been set up to help give a better chance of leading an independent life again. The fund will also be donating some of the proceeds raised to the Welsh Air Ambulance and Spinal Injuries Association. YTD Raised: £0.00Proshanti is a health partnership that links the communities of east London with Bangladesh. This project involves both Bangladeshi and non-Bangladeshi people who are passionate about improving the health and life chances of some of the poorest people in the world. In Juri, Maulvibazar Division, the majority of people have very little access to healthcare. There is no government hospital in Juri sub-district and although there is a good government health team they are under- resourced. People do not know how to manage their own health and often end up going to hospital only when it is too late. Many poeple are malnourished. Preventable and curable diseases and conditions go untreated. The death rate of mothers and babies in childbirth is high. The money raised will pay for health camps and antenatal clinics over the next four years, as well as supporting volunteers. During this time we will also be raising £300,000 to build, support and equip a healthy living centre in Juri to improve the health of the people and to promote healthy living. The health camps and antenatal clinics started in 2010 and have already helped over 1,850 people. We hope we can continue this good work with the support of health staff, volunteers and fundraisers from UK and from Bangladesh.

This is set in a tribal area, and provides for the poorest in the community as well as for patients travelling long distances to access treatment at Padhar Hospital. Treatment available to patients covers a wide range of medical and surgical conditions ranging from cataracts to joint replacements and cancer. The latest challenge for the hospital staff is the separation of siamese twins, joined at the chest and abdomen. During the year 2011a new Nursing College, affiliated to Bhopal University, was opened and the first students graduated with a 'capping off' ceremony was held in November 2012.

Bromley Healthcare, which has enjoyed consistent support from its GP led Clinical Commissioning Group, has used some of its profits to get the charity up and running and enabled it to support a number of local projects.The main area in which the Charity is making an impact is in activities set up to help people to 'get better and stay well' or to 'keep well'. We do this by assisting and supporting people in a 'club environment' providing a range of clinical and social support. We are currently able to support five different areas and are doing this in partnership with a range of specialist charities and volunteers. Each week, we send a professional entertainer or artist into the wards to give the children a healing dose of fun. We try our best to give them something to look forward to - like arranging a post-treatment VIP trip to Hamleys. In all this, our aim is to help the children forget where they are, forget the suffering and forget the monotony of hospitalisation. If we can achieve any of that, even for a second, it’s all worth it. We already help the kids in the Carousel Ward of UCH in London. Now we need your help to get to the hundreds of children in 21 similar wards nationwide. Every penny you can spare will go directly into bringing some much-needed fun and laughter to all of them.
